HOMYGAWD THEY DO EXIST!!!
You guys are gonna laugh at me for this, but... recently, Animal Planet (my default channel when I watch TV while drawing) did a documentary on beluga whales, bowhead whales, and narwhals. Until I saw the commercials for the special, I.... I thought narwhals were a myth! ^^;
Well, whales with a horn? Unicorns sounded more probable! And for all the documentaries I'd ever seen on either animals of the arctic or antarctic or marine life (and I watch Animal Planet a LOT), narwhals had never been mentioned! So... yeah, I really did think they didn't actually exist! When I saw the add for the special, I my mouth fell open and Matt just LAUGHED at me! (I memorized the time so I could watch it, and made it home in time to do just that.)
Also the TV spot had some music in the background that was just LOVELY, but I couldn't hear it very well and it didn't come up in the show- it sounded like a music box. I love music box tunes.
Today I had (well, I still have) a gross and painful canker sore. Then while eating a burrito I managed to bite it. Not even bite it- I chomped on it so hard it bled. I launched myself into the bathroom, suppressing a scream of pain, and spat blood into the toilet for a few minutes. Now its all swollen and it hurts :( Good fun.
But the burrito was yummy. Thanks for cooking, Beth and Aleph :)
I should probably work on Red All Over for a bit. Only eight more pages to ink of this chapter. But about a million to tone (or so it feels). At least toning is easy and can be skipped if necessary...
