First bomb from the library ...

Up until today I had enjoyed all the manga I had picked up at the library. Today I tried reading Get Backers. I was never really attracted to the premise of people who get back lost/stolen things, but I still thought I would give it a chance. I was not prepared for how really disappointed I would be with this manga. The characters were two dimensional, the story telling was weak and the art work was sub par. On the whole I found this to be a bad manga. I know it has lots of volumes, but I just couldn't stand it. Worst of all it was heavily americanized with dialog like "My bad!" and "I gonna get my gat!", etc. Read this junk at your own risk.

The good news is I can return these three volumes and get something else that I do like. Mean time I started Megatokyo which has been reasonably funny and is drawing me in more and more. Yay!
