So I just finished Peacemaker Kurogane. In three days. That's a record. It's all I watched Sunday and Monday and today. *wibble* Um, lots of HORRIBLE spoilers ahead, so read with caution.
SOUJI! ♥
I'm so in love with him it's not even funny. I already knew about the whole tuberculosis thing cause I read the biography of the guy, so the whole anime I'm just waiting for it with horrible anticipation. I have to admit that for a shounen series... Hijikata and Souji were definitely very good friends *giggle* It made me deliriously happy. I was waiting for more drama with Souji though, they left a lot purposely ambiguous. I understand, since the series isn't about them, after all, and at the end, they couldn't really bring up Souji's illness like that because they're trying to wrap up the last episode, so ... you know, lightheartedness and all. I suppose, all in all, I'm very satisfied, and I'm so going to find my fix of HijikataOkita right now. *still pumped*
Oh, but the show was very good, Souji aside ^_^ I loved Suzu and the Comedy Trio. And Susumu <- what a weird sweetheart he turned out to be. Probably the only thing that annoyed me about the series was that NONE of the kids looked their age! Like... I just kept thinking they were so much younger @.@ I know Tetsu's supposed to look like he's ten, but the other girls too? Even Susumu, who was supposed to be a 'kid' looked like he could be older than even Souji! I was sooo sad when Ayu-nee died. I mean really, her death didn't bother me that much-- okay, she died, we saw that coming-- it was eveyrone's reactions to it that killed me. I actually didn't think Tetsu was annoying, despite all the crying. I mean, he was seeing some pretty harsh stuff that brought up emotional scars and all. I got so sick of his brother though, UGH. What an annoying worrywart.
Anyway, so that definitely goes on my fave animes list. *cries* SOUJI, why do you have to die later, so horribly??? Oh, oh, but *squeal* omg, Hijikata was all 'everything's fine if you're all right' and 'where's souji' and all WORRIED. *beams* Oh, oh, and yeah. The shadow scene? Where Hijikata and Souji are walking outside and they only show the shadows on the ground as Okita passes by Hijikata? *yum* Wow, that was incredible. I was about to faint from excitement. Even if this isn't a shounen-ai series... some of the things they do sometimes between those two are just sooo on purpose. *grin*
