Comment to this entry and I'll pick three of your fandoms. You must then update your journal and answer the following questions:

01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?
02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
03: Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc.?
04: Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
05: Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?

lykoi gave me Animorphs, Tamora Pierce, and Digimon. :D And so we go...

Animorphs

01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?

Book fairs are glorious things, you should know. I came across a bunch of the Animorphs books oh... probably about 2nd grade, at an elementary book fair. I saw this girl turning into a dolphin and immediately went for it. I don't remember my first read through of those first books, but I quickly started collecting them all, and watching the website to see when the next ones were going to come out. I now own every single Animorphs book that is a part of the series, including the side stories, off-shoots, and the book about the TV show. ^^

02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?

Well, when it comes to writing and reading fic, I'm not much into the fandom. Dabble here and there. Torture my fellow fans with... embarrassing propts. (Sorry, cyanwitch >_>) But I still like it, and I don't think I'll ever count myself as quite leaving the fandom. It's one of those topics you can always talk about, especially when you go to a nerdy school like UTD, where lots of your fellow students grew up reading the same series too. ^^

03: Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc.?

Ummm... I once had all of them memorized, basic plot, what the cover was (animal and Animorph), but... it's been awhile. Probably up there are mostly Cassie's books. Wolf, Dolphin, Butterfly... Also the kangaroo and the water buffalo... Yes, I remember the books based on the animals. >_> I liked most of the series, especially when they added the disabled kids. That was really interesting.

04: Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?

Not really. Like I said before, I only dabble, but I still enjoy it. I think the fandom itself is neither very big nor very active, since it's so old and finished and all that. But it's one of those fandoms that will never die. Way to define our childhoods, K. A. Applegate. ^^

05: Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?

I think it's definitely something that everyone should read, or at least attempt to read, but I think I'd feel odd trying to get someone to read it who didn't at least look at it back when it was coming out and popular. I've got it all though, so I'm willing to lend it out to people who want to read it all again, like my downstairs neighbor did a couple of months back. :D

Tamora Pierce (Yes, she counts as her own fandom. FF.net says so.)

01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?

I don't really remember. I remember when I got the first two books of the Immortals, but I'm pretty sure I had read the Circle of Magic and Alanna books before that. It was probably another book fair, or a pointer from a librarian. I know I devoured the books when I found them. ^^

02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?

Again, I'll probably never leave the fandom completely, though I'm also not very active in it anyways.

03: Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc.?

Oh man... I like The Circle Opens quartet - especially dancer boy. And I just LOVE Numair. Also wish there was more about the Trickster stuff, because one of the girls has a similar name to me. It's Tamora Pierce - what's not to love? ^^

04: Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?

Not really. I actually can't remember if I've ever written fic for any of her books/series, though I have read some. ... wait. I did one Daine/Numair. I think once. Heh.

05: Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?

YES. Definitely! Tamora Pierce is awesome, and you have two worlds to play in, so you can find something that appeals to you. And she's really fun to talk to, and likes to play tricks on audiences. ^^ If someone tells you that she's a bad speaker, she probably did her "drone" at them. ^^

Digimon

01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?

Oh god, Digimon. Um... I was in to Pokemon, Dragonball Z, Cardcaptors, Sailor Moon, Thundercats, and Digimon. I was destined to be an otaku. I think Digimon just came on one day, and I was instantly hooked. I've watched all of everything except for some of the movies and Digimon Savers. I'm not real big on Savers.

02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?

Seeing as cyanwitch and I have the 101_kisses challenge to complete for Davis and Ken, I think we're gonna be with the fandom for a while. And they're just so much fun. cyanwitch and I occasionally go back and watch old episodes - and by that I mean marathon watch 02, because I think it's both of our favorites. ^^ Digimon is one of the most interesting fandoms to write for because there's so much you can do. I may even do my NaNoWriMo this year with a Digimon fic. Maybe.

03: Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc.?

Well, 02 is my favorite series of Digimon, but I definitely like the soccer game (eps 12? >_> "Well, well, I'm shaking in my boots!"), the Chimeramon section until Ken gets Wormmon back, the part where they all figure out that Ken is good, and the Jogress/DNA Digivolution parts. (It may be that if it has Ken in it, I'm happy. I like character development, and characters like Ken and Zuko (Avatar) get the most development by changing from "evil" to good.)

When it comes to the other series, I like the quest for the 8th child in the original (Gatomon, Wizardmon, and Kari are all just fun), Rika/Ruki and Ryo as characters in Tamers (and Ryo and Ken as friends in the past and time jumping, yes!), and perhaps not as much love for Frontier, but Kouchi and Koji are cool. Twins, one evil (at first), one good, light and dark... and one doesn't know the other exists! It's just fun from a plot/character/writer perspective. ^^ *nerdout*

04: Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?

Yes, though only really through fic. I have a lot of fun doing what cyanwitch and I dubbed DaKe (apparently Daiken or Kensuke in the fandom... but DaKe can include the English names so... ^^'), and it's fun to do AUs. I've yet to mess around much with any of the others, as it's been a while since I've watched the original, Tamers, or Frontier, but perhaps I shall marathon ALL of Digimon over the summer (in bursts, of course) and spread my fandom reach. ^^

05: Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?

Helzya. Digimon is STILL awesome, even if I first started watching it (and later playing) in elementary school. (I'm in college now. omg, junior. officially as of today, as the seniors of '09 have just graduated today.) Digimon is cute, entertaining, meaningful, and fangirlable. And relatable too. SOMUCHFUN.

Now I want to go marathon 02 even MORE. grar. Maybe sometime this coming week. Perhaps on the day I lock myself in my apartment and pretend I'm not here and refuse to answer the phone unless it's an emergency (call multiple times). A Digimon marathon may help my mental state. So. FREAKING. BUSY. Argh.

But anyways... I've been dabbling in some anime, checking out whatever looks interesting. So far, I have gotten into Bokurano (depressing mecha anime that is still really cool), Dennou Coil (virtual+reality), Nabari no Ou (ninjas cooler than Naruto + shouta and Owlzawa-sama), caught up with Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom (assassins), Pandora Hearts (Alice in Wonderland + demons), AND 07 Ghost (fantasy adventure + UST + angst + ghosts/spirits/reincarnations/idkwhatbutimwatchingtofindout), decided I want to watch Soul Eater (more death gods, but thank you LJ for the OT3 before I ever watched an eps), perhaps Zoids Genesis (MORE MECHA. :D), and dabbled in Sukishio (yaoi, high school thing), and a few others, and I still have Law of Ueki and Shangri-La pulled up to check out, as well as another Bokurano episode.

Told cyanwitch about Bokurano, and she TOOK OFF. She passed me in a single day and went about halfway through the series or something. x_x Way to go. Oh, and also, she probably won't be on much due to being at home at the moment, where her insane parents regulate everything she does on the computer - this means nothing that said parents might disapprove of... at least in English. Yay for Japanese and Al Bhed. ^^

Also one of my friends got locked out of her apartment today when they changed the locks on her door while she was out for a bit (she didn't even leave campus), and we sat with her for four hours, waiting for someone to come get the door open. Turns out that a BUNCH of people were locked out, so they sent the guy with new keys to the leasing office, and no one informed us of this, even though we called while he was there. My friend went and got her keys, and is moving out tomorrow. My roommate's already gone, and another of my friends will be leaving within the week. I was thinking that I was gonna be alone a lot over the summer, but I don't think I will, even if I don't get a job.

I made a facebook group for people at/around my campus for the summer... there are about 30 people in the group - at least, were, when I checked the other day. It's been around for about... 4 days, maybe? 3? I think I'll have people around, even if those that are staying aren't living with me or aren't the ones that randomly swing by. ^^

Okay, I'm gonna go get some food and then crash. Or watch Ueki and see what it's about. And then crash. Really hard. Maybe crash while watching Ueki. ^^' Wouldn't be the first time!!!!
