NaNo Update, before the last splurge!
So, I'm bored in CS (again) and about to WoD, but I figured I'd post something anyways. No, no new chapters. That'll happen after November's over. ^^
Alright, so, I'm sitting at 39K (woot!), and just wanted to say ALMOST DONE!
Word Count (MS Word counter): 39,323
Total cameos: 9 (in sets, 4, 2, 2, and 1)
Total allusions/references to things not belonging to me: 2 (See if you can find 'em! But cyanwitch, I know I told you about one, so that doesn't count! :P) (And there will probably be another, since the characters have informed me of a city's description in an amusing way.)
Total deaths: 1 (yay random people)
Random excerpt!
Contrary to an earlier statement, Rej had ended up going to the library and finding a book to check out. Sure, it was a book about weapons and the styles and how to take care of them, but it was interesting. It was a more recent book, so was available to be checked out of the library, and Rej had taken the opportunity to go through it and learn about some weapons and styles that he was less familiar with.
He was just getting to the section about weapons called sais, when the Seeker returned to their room, looking calm, but content, if one knew what to look for.
Rej opened his mouth to ask a general question about if he had enjoyed himself, but then blushed when he realized what that would have sounded like if he had actually said it, and when he realized what the answer would have meant.
The Seeker, of course, noticed this anyways, and answered the unstated question. "Yes, I did, in fact, enjoy myself. Thanks for asking."
Alright, there are 30 mins left in class... time to Write or Die!
