Wedding

So last week was a bit of a downer. While babysitting Alexander and Amelia, Alexander and I convinced Dana to swim with us. Well, I was sitting on Alexander's boogie board while Dana was holding onto its cord. The board slipped out from under me and hit Dana right in the mouth. Apparently it knocked one of her teeth loose and she freaked out since she was going to be in a wedding.

So she had to leave, mom freaked out because she couldn't afford to get it fixed, Kelly and Dave agreed to pay for it, and the next day she got it fixed. Huzzah!

Anyway...

Sherry's wedding was very nice. Cheap, but nice. The lighting in the church was great so I didn't freak out or need my flash. I have to have them edited for Wednesday so that Dana can give them to Joe before they leave for Virginia.

Though, something terrible DID happen right after the ceremony. Apparently the maid of honor, Rachel, had a horribly behaved son named Micah. Micah threw a strawberry that nearly hit and stained Sherry's dress. Freaked that her dress almost got ruined, Sherry told Rachel that if Micah acted up again he needed to leave the bridal party room and go eat somewhere else. Joe stood up and said that he should probably leave now since he didn't belong in there anyway. Rachel got defensive and said that it was her son so he could be in there. Joe said that the room was for the bridal party and the bride and groom's immediate family and Micah was neither. Rachel got so pissed she threw a full glass of sprite in Joe's face and then two chairs out of the room, almost hitting the boyfriend of a bride's maid and the five young nephews of the groom. So it is unlikely they will ever be friends again. A 20 year friendship ended and a sweet marriage ruined by something as stupid as that.

Oh well.

I should do pro bono wedding photography for couples who are on low budgets and can't afford professionals. I shall be paid in CAKE! MWAHAHAHAHA!

So yeah. Today we threw Dana's surprise graduation party. Went pretty well. Mom didn't prepare at all for it and we couldn't figure out a way to get Dana out of the house so we could pull out the cake and banner. We ended up sending her to the store for plastic cups and corn. She came back and we all yelled CONGRATULATIONS! She didn't seem all that excited but oh well.
