Perversity...
I recently read a large chunk of Yakumo Tatsu, a supernatural shoujo I had posted on here. I was initially taken with the depth of the story, and the fact it was reviewed as having received an award for storytelling.
The truth is, it is THIS close to a YAOI. I mean it. I would go so far as to call it SHOUNEN-AI, which is not at all it's real intention... I don't think. But it's super close. It really is. Because of that, I don't always concentrate on the story like I should.
Take this page, for example:
The blond is talking about some elephant pjs he got to sleep in, and whether or not the brunette wants to borrow the bunny ones.
BUT... my brain sez:
That's just because it gets REALLY close to just being pure beautiful faggotry. If only they DID get it on... *sigh*
