Thursday morning I woke up at 7:30 and got on livejournal to find that Meghan was home from China. I then rushed over to her house, which was dumb considering her sleep schedule was all screwed up and it was 8 in the morning. I ended up leaving her a letter though and she called me that evening around 5 when she woke up.

Getting to see her again was great, she had so many fun stories to tell about China and she came back with some really neat stuff. We talked for awhile before deciding to go to Central winds park at around 10pm to hang prayer flags. The park was surprisingly easy to get into in the middle of the night. We ended up having to park at Publix and walk for about 10 minutes to get there, but the excessively high gate had an opening that you could slip through easily. Meghan had to climb up my back to get into the tree she wanted to put the flags in and she'd never climbed a tree before, much less jumped out of one. I don't want to detail the reasons for our excursion because they are personal and not mine to tell, but it was a really spiritually fulfilling night.

The next morning we decided to watch The Hunchback of Notre Dame which was really interesting because I hadn't seen it except for once when I was little. I pretty much cried through the whole thing because it's pretty depressing for a disney movie and I was feeling rather emotional as it was. There was so much to it that I realize I didn't get as a kid. I mean, I knew the minister was evil but I didn't realize he was also so crazy lustful for Esmerelda ("Hellfire/Dark fire/Now gypsy, it's your turn/Choose me or/Your pyre/Be mine or you will burn"). Not a lot of Disney movies deal with things like infanticide or creepy lustful ministers.

Watching that put me in disney mode so I've watched Beauty and the Beast and Pocahontas as well today since I'm a giant loser. Meghan also got me interested in a Harry Potter Fan fic that I've started reading, I've never read any before because I don't have the patience to sort through all the shitty ones (because in the world of fan fiction there is just loads of dreadful stories).

So basically I've been pretty lame lately. I did go to Rachel's last night which was fun while still not really being anything too interesting to talk about. Tomorrow is Amber's (Jasper's sister) wedding so I have to wake up early to actually make myself look decent. I think I may put on Fantasia or Dumbo to fall asleep to..
