Anger That I'm Tired Of
OK, I'm angry. The College announced today that in 2009 they will be closing the Japanese Department. Granted I will be gone by the time this happens but it makes me sad to think that no one else at "Randolph College" will have the experience of taking Japanese and realizing they love it. And what about Kuriyama-sensei? This is her first year at the school and she has to face them telling her she only has a job for another year. I miss RMWC. Screw the trustees for not doing something sooner. My dreams of RMWC having an Asian Studies major are shot. It was nice that someone gave several million dollars last year for the Asian Studies department to be built up and here they are planning to close part of it. I want to say more but anger prevents me from forming actual sentences any longer.
