Starting Early: FWA Roommate Search

Nov 07, 2012 23:03

I know it's early, but I've started looking for our FWA roommates sooner rather than later. If you think you might want to share a room with akelavincent and I, read on!

The Important Need-to-Know Info:
- Room reserved at the Westin Peachtree ATL, Thursday March 14 - Monday March 18, 2013. Room is under my name. Quad occupancy, 2 queen beds.
- NO SMOKERS.
- 2 room spaces available. Couples preferred but not necessary.
- I am a dealer, will be working pretty much all the time I am there, including nights.
- ALL roommates must shower daily.
- NO DRINKING in the room.
- NO ROOM PARTIES.
- Room share fees due 1 month prior to convention and are non-refundable unless I have to cancel the room reservation (unlikely).

Now, The Details:

We are looking for 2 people to share our room for FWA. Couples are preferred but not necessary, for instance- a pair of friends would be just fine. We must have 4 people in the room for the roomshare. No persons under 18, please.

We cannot guarantee bed space if you aren't a couple or not willing to share the 2nd bed. My husband and I, being married, get dibs on one bed. If you prefer floor space, that's okay too. Air mattresses welcome, as long as you provide your own bedding.

You are responsible for your own parking fees if you bring a vehicle.

We are not offering this roomshare as first come, first served. Akela and I will choose the best roommate match for us. Feel free to pitch yourself/talk yourself up if you like. :)

Akela and I are dealers. That means while we are working and out of the room most of the day, we may have to pop in and out frequently and unexpectedly to get stock, art supplies, etc. We are NOT the ideal roommates if you're wanting a little "alone time" with your friends/lovers.

We are NOT party people. While we love a good laugh late into the night, and love to have movies on the TV and such, I'm usually doing "homework" in the evenings after dinner. I don't mind company while I work, but I draw the line at room parties. No more than one or two friends in the room at night. I follow this rule myself.

Likewise, not being party people, we do NOT want to tolerate another's excess. No drinking/smoking/etc in the room, and no coming back to the room plastered/wasted/etc. You'll be asked to sober up somewhere else. We have good reasons for this rule.

Fursuiters welcome! We love suits, as long as they're not left in stinky piles around the room. Antibacterial spray is our friend!

If you think you might be interested and would like to discuss the possibility of being roommates, or just have questions, please e-mail me at animecat[at]hotmail[dot]com.
