Yoochun squeezed Junsu’s hand softly, as they stood in front of the Kim household.
Junsu opened the door, and met his dad who was having coffee in the kitchen.
“Oh, Junsu, you’re home already? I thought you were with Jaej---” he stopped once he saw a stranger follow his son enter the house.
“Dad, this is Yoochun….my homeroom teacher.”
Yoochun bowed, as the older Kim spoke, “Why is he here?”
Seeing Junsu’s nervous expression, Mr. Kim went closer to the teacher.
“Has my son caused trouble? Oh, Junsu, I knew you weren’t supposed to be absent in so many days! You probably missed a lot that you need to fulfill to maintain your grades!”
Yoochun cleared his throat.
“It’s not actually about that, sir.”
The old man sat down, starting to worry.
“Junsu and I…we…”
“Dad, Yoochun and I are in a relationship.”
Mr. Kim was stupefied at what he heard, his eyes widening at the news.
“I-is this a joke? Have you won some sort of award, Junsu? That’s why you’re trying to make me feel sad and then surprise me in the middle of it?” he laughed unconvincingly, “Come on son, this is not funny!”
Junsu fought the tears. He refused to show his weak side to his father.
“No…I’m not joking.”
Mr. Kim took deep breaths, but sooner than later he was panting and was frantically looking for his medicine on the counter.
Junsu panicked, but immediately saw his father’s medicine which he quickly grabbed and gave to the old man.
Mr. Kim gulped the pills down and breathed slowly.
The news seemed to sink in as the old man’s face grew slightly red, his eyebrows furrowing in the process.
“You!” he pointed at Junsu, “I am raising no faggot in this household!”
He raised a fist, and Junsu closed his eyes as Yoochun took a step forward.
Junsu opened his eyes slowly, wondering why there wasn’t any impact.
He saw his father’s closed fist in midair, the arm shaking in anger.
Mr. Kim was crying.
Junsu silently gasped at the sight.
The old man opened his fist and used it to cover his eyes.
“Go. Go!”
Junsu immediately turned around to face Yoochun. He slowly shook his head, and went towards the door as his teacher followed.
~.~.~.~.~.
Junsu was staying in Jaejoong’s house for the time being these past few weeks.
To Jaejoong’s dismay, Junsu wasn’t letting himself out of his depressed state. He was even drinking now, which wasn’t a usual thing for him to do.
Junsu was wondering why, after everything that he's done...all the hard work, the effort of trying to fulfill his father's wishes...his dad wouldn’t even acknowledge him. He felt like a total failure, being unable to make his only parent happy.
Yoochun occasionally visited Junsu after classes whenever he can, but Junsu’s smiles weren’t as cheerful anymore.
It was the same every day, until Jaejoong received a call.
“Changmin?”
“Is Junsu there?”
“Yes…why?”
“Junsu’s dad is in the hospital, and he’s looking for his son.”
~.~.~.~.~.
Mr. Kim had a mild heart attack not so long ago, and too much drinking had a bad effect to his liver’s health.
He lay on the hospital bed, staring at the white ceiling.
He looked as the door creaked open, revealing a face that he watched grow and mature.
“Junsu…”
The said man swallowed anxiously and sat down on the couch near the bed.
“Where’s that Yoochun?”
“H-he’s outside.”
“Let him come in then.”
Junsu hesitantly stood up, and made Yoochun enter the room.
“Junsu, my son…do you want to be the next board director for the business?”
He looked as his father, troubled.
“Come on, be honest.” he hasn’t heard his father speak so softly in, literally his whole life.
Junsu shook his head with downcast eyes.
“I see.”
Mr. Kim closed his eyes but continued, “I will let Jaejoong take my place then.”
Junsu looked up.
“He has offered to take the business; after all, he is still a Kim.”
Junsu’s mouth hung open, but managed to make a mental note to thank his best friend later.
“Now, for another matter,” the old man opened his eyes and directed it to the couple beside him.
“I would like you to have a pause in your relationship,”
Junsu’s face immediately flooded with anxiety, as well as Yoochun’s.
“I am not asking you to break ties,” he coughed lightly, “however; I will not tolerate you both having a relationship. Not until Junsu graduates.”
Junsu looked confused. Does this mean…
“Wait until graduation, and then you can continue where you left off. Besides, I need to know more about the man who claims to love my one and only child, hm?”
He smiled at Yoochun, who gratefully smiled back.
“Thank you, Mr. Kim.”
“Come here, Junsu.”
The older Kim outstretched his hands to Junsu who was tearing up.
Junsu stood up and hugged his father tight, letting the tears fall down his cheeks.
“Changmin and Jaejoong have told me everything…what you’ve done, why you did it…and I forgive you,” he stroked his sobbing son’s hair, “but I hope that you would forgive this father of yours too…”
It took a while before Junsu answered a soft ‘yes,’ and that was what triggered his dad’s tears.
“Your friends also told me that you’re trying your best now to achieve lots of things, without repeating your mistakes in high school. And for that, I apologize for saying it just now, but I’m very proud of you, son.”
Junsu bit his lip to try to stop the tears.
“And I always will be proud; after all, you’re my son.”
But then Junsu couldn’t stop the flow of the tears of joy.
Yoochun watched the two of them happily, as he touched the two rings that hung around his neck by a chain.

Jaejoong walked the streets of Seoul during Christmas break, letting the cold wind bite his skin and making it slightly pink.
He sighed.
Nothing, for 3 months now.
Yunho has texted, emailed, or sent letters to Jaejoong from America every month.
For the last three though, he hasn’t received anything…and it was starting to worry the man.
Jaejoong knew that long distance relationships were extremely difficult to maintain, but the thing is, they aren’t even official. He was quite afraid that maybe Yunho was having second thoughts or that maybe the teacher found someone else in the different country.
He stopped walking upon deciding to go back to his apartment.
“Kim Jaejoong.”
Jaejoong turned around to see who called, and was automatically rooted in his place.
~.~.~.~.~.
Jaejoong turned on the stove, and was pacing back and forth in the kitchen while trying to whip up some stew.
“Jaejoong-ah,” he was called by the man who leaned on the kitchen door pane.
“Ju-just sit down a while…this’ll be done in a few minutes.”
He placed the meat and vegetables on the pot.
“You don’t have to cook, I…I can just order something and we can talk.”
“No, it’s fine I’ve got everything under contro---“
He hissed when he accidentally cut himself while slicing some kimchi.
The other went closer and held Jaejoong’s hand.
Jaejoong took it back and smiled awkwardly.
“I-it’s alright, it’s just a small cut, n-no big deal…”
The other’s eyes met Jaejoong’s.
Chocolate brown orbs met black and mysterious pupils, both being lost upon staring beyond its depths.
“Are you that shocked to see me?”
The taller man perched his chin on Jaejoong’s shoulder, while wrapping his arms around the other.
The shorter of the two decided to relax to the other’s touch and return the hug…besides, they did long for one another.
They stayed like that for a while, each missing the other so dearly, trying to cherish the moment that they have finally seen each other, after so long.
It took a while before the silence was broken.
“Yunho…”
The said man buried his head to where Jaejoong’s neck and shoulder met; inhaling the scent that he missed so much.
“Hm?”
“…I thought you were going to return in 2 years…not in 6 months…”
Yunho sighed.
“America just isn’t the place for me…besides,” he faced the other.
“I wanted to come back home as soon as I can.”
Jaejoong snapped out of it once he heard the water from the pot overflow and noisily coming into contact with the flames. He swiftly lowered down the heat, put some flavouring, and covered the pot.
He sighed.
Yunho then gave him a back hug.
Jaejoong slowly put his arms on top of the other’s and closed his eyes.
“Jaejoong?”
“Yes?”
“Go out with me?”
Jaejoong chuckled. “What?”
“I’m sorry it took me so long to ask…I just wanted to ask you personally, and not when we were apart.”
Jaejoong smiled and nodded.
Yunho cupped his face, and leaned in for a long awaited kiss.
Yunho ever so gently caressed Jaejoong’s cheek, as their lips softly tugged and pushed each other lovingly.
Jaejoong wrapped his arms around Yunho’s neck, pulling themselves closer to each other.
They broke apart slightly panting, and Jaejoong giggled softly.
“What’s so funny?”
“We haven’t even had our first date yet, but we’re kissing?” He placed an arm on the other’s shoulder. “Isn’t that against your books, songsaenim?”
Yunho laughed lightly.
“Well, we’re a different case, aren’t we?”
Yunho winked at his now-official-boyfriend.
They both laughed, creating another of the many memories that they’ll make together.

Around one and a half years after graduation.
“Yah, Kyuhyun! Hurry up!”
Kyuhyun ran down the stairs to meet his boyfriend.
“I get it Mr. Impatient! It’s not like we’re in a much of a hurry anyway.”
He was about to get into the car when Changmin stopped him.
“Yah, don’t I get any greeting?” he complained.
Kyuhyun scoffed and raised a palm.
“Why hello, my lovely Changmin. Now can we go?”
“No~” he pouted.
“Really?” Kyuhyun rolled his eyes.
He sighed and pecked his boyfriend’s lips.
“Now can we go?”
Changmin pulled the other closer for a more long-lasting lip lock.
Once he deemed himself satisfied, Changmin separated from the other and winked.
“I’m recharged of my Kyuhyun-ness. Let’s go~”
Kyuhyun laughed as he tried to control the sudden blush forming on his cheeks and went inside the car.
They arrived in the mall later that day and proceeded to the suit tailor’s shop.
The two of them were quickly ushered by assistants in individual dressing rooms to fit their suits.
A couple of minutes later, the curtains between them were slid open, and they silently gaped at each other.
Kyuhyun’s dark brown hair flowed to his nape while his hands were trying to gently tidy up the strands, as Changmin meticulously eyed the simple white three piece suit and white shoes.
Changmin, on the other hand, wore black-framed rectangular glasses same color as his neat long hair that slightly touched the crevices of his neck. His hands were tucked in the pockets of his white pants, complimenting his white coat and shoes, smiling smugly like the model that he is.
“So what do you guys think?” the head assistant asked the two of them.
“I like it,” Changmin answered while fixing his silver tie and sparing a glance towards the other.
“Though for Kyuhyun’s…I’d say it’s a bit too…plain. Add some thin black binding on the collar down, and after that, it’s perfect. I’ll have someone take both next week.”
~.~.~.~.~.
About two months later.
“Hey, you ready?”
Changmin looked at the mirror and spotted his two friends entering the room.
Jaejoong was now the board director of Kim enterprises, while Junsu was applying for composing jobs just like Kyuhyun, after taking their masters not so long ago. The boyfriends of his friends, meanwhile, were working their way up the school office ladder, though both refused to be principals, saying that it would take too much of their time. However, they did become high administrators of the school which gave them actual authority and a decent amount of salary.
Junsu stepped forward to help Changmin with his coat.
“You look like you just jumped out of a fashion magazine,” Junsu smiled.
Changmin laughed lightly.
“That’s because I actually did.”
They all laughed for a while. Changmin continued with a modelling career, though nobody expected it given the young man’s expertise in more business-like fields. He liked how things are anyway, and in this way he could still go home and sing Kyuhyun’s drafts along with their trusty piano, instead of being cooped up in some office with documents being shoved into his face every day.
“It’s almost time…” Jaejoong signalled, “got the rings?”
Changmin breathed a shaky breath, and nodded.
He spared his friends a last glance, as he walked out to proceed to his own wedding.
A/N: For the YooSu couple, I wanted to convey a message to all parents out there. I hope that you understand how much impact you can give your children (especially with words), because I used to be one of those people who thought that her parents think that she’s a hopeless case. Well, I met dbsk and they taught me how to fight, and I achieved so much since then. And my parents are still proud of me to this day. Then, to all the people who envy others because those people are better than them, those people are there not to be envied, but as a driving force to encourage you to reach or even surpass what they’ve reached. Don’t let yourself lose to yourself. For Yunjae, I think the message is more of: sometimes, waiting doesn’t mean ending things (kinda like waiting for db5k, no?)…and as they say, if you really do love each other, you shall end up with each other if you will it to happen. For Kyumin (it sounds really better than changkyu so yeah), I guess the message from their story is that nothing is ever easy, and it even took them years to find each other again---buuut, even through the hardships, it makes life a little bit more colourful and there will always be something good that will come to you, no matter how big or small. I hope you guys didn’t find the pace too fast? :/ And I didn’t want to end it like REALLY end it, like all of them getting married or something, since it gives you all a bit more imagination to view things as you want it to be. Please do comment (tell me what you think about the music, I picked them specifically for their lyrics. And of course, don't forget to tell me what you think of the story ^^)~~~~! <3
