That quote will forever mean so much to me.
Tonight was probably the most bittersweet moment I've had in my entire life, but before I spill all the details and ruin the ending...let's return to the beginning.
As most of you that read my blogs already know, I met someone rather special on Tuesday evening when I attended the carnival with Mandy. Well let me just say that after that night my life has become so much more than it ever has been before.
That evening while talking to a few other friends, I briefly caught a figure in a forest green shirt walk by and I get punched in the arm by the same figure. Quickly I turn around to see who it was and there stands Sam, someone that I haven't seen in a long time. I quickly walk over to him and give him a hug. (For those of you that don't know Sam and I went to CCD together over eight years ago, and back then we had a cute little crush on each other when we had classes. Since then we have seen each other few times between middle school and high school yet we seem to come in contact with each other over and over again.) Well after the hug I ask him if he would like to hang out at least once before he would have to leave on Monday to return to school. We agree on going to see the new Die Hard movie on Wednesday evening.
After agreeing on the movie, Sam hugged James (whom he had attended school with) and walked off. Well once he had gone I just couldn't seem to get him off my mind. I kept talking to Mandy about him and kept repeating everything that I had told her once, over and over again. Eventually I decided to walk and see if I could find Sam, just so we could walk and talk for the rest of the evening. Well, I did, and we talked and talked (about many odd things might I add) but I had no problem talking to him and was quite comfortable every minute that I was around him. After a while he asked me something, it was something that he'd been wanting to do for a long time. He asked if he could kiss me, and I allowed it. Well you know what happened after that one kiss led to another, and so on and so forth. Eventually I called Many to inform her to meet me back at the car at 11PM so she and I could head home.
Wednesday, what a day full of anticipation. I met Sam at Starbucks at 6PM so we could head to the movies. We did, of course, and I got to see my first Die Hard movie ever (and it was very good mind you.) After the movie we went over to the diner across from West Manchester Mall where we both got something to eat, making me very content. Afterwards we drove back to Starbucks in Shrewsbury so I would be able to get my car. Well we sat and we talked for quite sometime in his truck. We also then decided to do something the next evening after I would get off work.
Thursday, going to work helped the day go by faster. Right as I was about to finish my sidework Sam showed up, he had to quickly head home, shower and change before we went out again. (We had planned a cute date of lying out and just looking at the stars together.) Of course it decided to pour down rain, ruining our earlier intentions. So instead we went and got some sushi for dinner up at Ginza, yum. This is also when I introduced Sam to marble soda, which I must say he enjoyed. Once again a very enjoyable evening, and of course we made plans for the next day.
Friday, after I had gone to see a movie for my mom's birthday and we went out to dinner, I met Sam up at the paintball fields. We then ventured over to my house where we ended up watching Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, by Sam's request. Afterwards we played the Wii for a while. Once again another enjoyable evening and we made plans for the next day.
Saturday I had to get up and go to work in the morning. Got off early and got home, called Sam and about an hour later he showed up at my house to pick me up. We had to run over to Wal-mart to run a few errands and then it was off to the Buck with Kevin Marbuger (Sam's best friend) behind us. The Buck is probably the most Redneck place that I have been in my entire life, but I still enjoyed going nonetheless. We had a little tailgate party and cooked burgers on Sam's makeshift grill. After eating it was time for the demolition derby to being. It was actually rather enjoyable and I had a lot of fun. Not to mention, there were also some sweet fireworks. (It was funny because Sam and Kevin would jump at the really loud ones if they were caught unexpectedly.) After the derby and fireworks, Sam said bye to Kevin and we headed back to Stewartstown. It was on the way back that we discussed plans for Sunday (today). I decided that I was going to get up bright and early to go to a paintball tournament where Sam would be shooting footage for his team. So of course I called and checked with my father to ensure that it was okay, and after a little sweet talking he said yes. We ended up getting back to my house at 12 and had to get up at 5 the next morning.
Today, I got up at 5AM to get ready to go with Sam to the paintball tournament that was about 45 minutes to an hour away. Once we got there everyone set up and the team registered (they were to play seven games). So I got to learn, or at least tried, to learn and understand paintball. And by the end of the day I had really begun to catch on. The tournament was fun to watch and I actually learned a lot about it. Paintball seems like a very fun and entertaining sport. Sam got hit with a couple of paintballs while filming on the field, but he said it was worth it. We then packed up and drove back to the paintball field. The boys of course had to watch the footage of all of their games before we could go anywhere. After that was all said and done, Sam and I returned to my house where we went swimming in the pool for about an hour. Afterwards I took Sam to Red Lobster for dinne (hey I won't see him for three months). And man was that a great dinner. After dinner we made a quick pit stop at Borders, couldn't resist, and I bought five books. After borders we headed back to my place and sat in Sam's truck and talked for a looooong time. And a lot came out of that conversation tonight. It was probably one of the most intense I have ever had. We decided on a lot during that conversation, a lot that is going to affect us in the near future. And I am so glad that things turned out the way that they did. Then we had to say bye, for at least three months. Now many of you that know me would know that I should probably be in tears right now, but I'm not. Things just happened while we were talking in the car, and I am content because Sam just had a feeling that everything was going to be ok. And that is why I will shed no more tears tonight, for I believe in him and I trust him.
This weekend was amazing and is certainly one to remember. I am so happy right now.
Thank you Lord.
