(no subject)
Yes, I know I'm horrible at updating this thing. But, now that I'm working mornings I should be able to update my lovely LJ more often. Plus I'm helping mod over at ghibli_icontest so I'll be more motivated to be online.
Pablo and I left for Vancouver last on the 28th. Went out for dinner with Dad then we puttered around the mall for a little while before we went back to the hotel and slept. The next day, we spent something like 8 hours covering the vast majority of Metrotown.
Shopping was a hoot! Bought some clothes, new shoes, picked up a few manga (FUSHIGI YUUGI, CARDCAPTOR SAKURA and XXXHOLIC), the usual. And I found a couple of birthday gifts for the brother (a Yoshi plushie and a NARUTO ninja headband XD), as well as a little gift for Meagan-love and a Mokona plushie for me ^^
Megan also bought me the third season of DRAGONBALL Z as a belated birthday gift <3
The next day was the Arctic Monkeys concert! We went for some food with Dad before it started, then headed down to the Forum it was held at. I bought a couple of shirts; one for me, one for Tiegan cause I promised him one. The concert was a little late to start, and Pablo and I watched the opening band from the floor. They were OK, not great, but not horrible. We decided to watch the rest of the concert from somewhere other than the floor, considering we didn't really feel like getting crushed in a mosh pit or anything like that.
The Arctic Monkeys were freaking amazing! They put on a really good show and they sounded just like they were supposed to. They played like all of my favourite songs, and a new of theirs, so all in all, it was pretty sweet!
Dad and I dropped Megan off with her mom on our way back into Chilliwak, and they headed off the Whitehorse from there to see her Dad. I haven't really heard from her since, but I hope she's doing alright. She said she'll call me when she gets back, but I'm not sure how long she;ll be up there so yeah...
Anyways, I spent a couple of days with Dad just hanging out. Kara and I did a little shopping together this time too, so that was nice ^^
And I finally got to see the TRANSFORMERS movie! Dad and I went to see it on the IMAX in Langly. It was so amazingly awesome!! Giant fighting robots + explosions = SWEET! Plus it made me feel a lot cooler for having a disco ball hanging off my rear-view mirror in my car. Now all I need is a yellow Camaro XD
Damn I'm tired... I;m on day 5 of 7 at work right now, and I've been given most of the open shifts for the month because our main opening manager left to go work at the Vernon store so that she can start moving up past swing manager. Not that I'm not happy for her, she' really excited about it, but I've worked with her since I started and she pretty much taught me everything there, so its kind of sad that she's gone.
Well, I think I'm going to go for a walk or something before I head off the bed; gotta be up at 3:30 AM again tomorrow for work DX
