As a help for this, there are a variety of sites where you can search using images to find the source. I personally utilize a Chrome add-on (also available in Firefox flavor with more options) that allows you to use Google Image Search, TinEye Search, SourceNAO, and IQDB Search and over 90% of the time, I can find the source using one of these options. :>

Chrome add-on link! caterfree10 August 22 2012, 02:41:52 UTC
Here's the link for the Chrome add-on I mentioned above. It's not as extensive as the Firefox add-on, but it works well enough, imho. :3

Er, I'd like to be able to share some good resources on some search engines and browser add-ons that help locate fanart sources, but my comment was marked as spam because of the links. :C

Edit: ALKSJHFSLKDJH I forgot the link for the Chrome add-on anyway! *facepalm* At least I remembered the Firefox one. :T

hello! i have a question regarding this rule. whenever i do use fanart for my icons, i always put the credit right underneath of that particular set ( example 01 & example 02 [not dial up safe by the way]) and i was wondering if that's acceptable as well. :)

That should be fine as along as it's all numbered correctly and linked to pixiv/original artist accounts (so from what I saw in the posts should be okay :) )
