Last week I drove to Salt Lake City, Utah to visit my parents. I was there to visit Mom and Dad as well as pick up my Dad's photography equipment. Film type equipment.
He hasn't touched the gear in well over 10 years since buying his first digital camera. I expressed an interest in shooting and developing some B&W images and he offered to give me his collection of camera bodies and lenses the next time I was in town.
While going through the stuff he ran across some Kodak Tri X 400 negatives. I looked at them and recognized myself in some of them. "These must have been taken in 1976 when we lived at Fort Douglas" I said. "I want to scan them in and look at them." So, I did.
Upon scanning the images contained on the 3 strips of film, it became painfully obvious I had always been gay, even at the tender age of 8.
My Dad said "You were a real character."
I replied with "Apparently."
