Felt so pampered wearing my new dress and Fs (got them on the pretext of celebrating getting the first month's pay in new job). Using the reissue still felt like a novelty since I have stored it for quite a while. The size is not handy as an everyday bag.
Today is eventful. C woke me up early for breakfast in the park. We ate Mac takeaway at Kent Ridge Park while he hung 3 cages of birds under the trees. According to him, they would clear their throats and sing louder in a natural surrounding.
By 11am, we reached Mum's place to bai nian. Mum and Dad took so long to get ready and we only managed to send them to visit Jess' Godma at 3pm. My parents could really procrastinate.
Since we were in Bedok area, we popped into Ikea. I was so surprised to find the place relatively crowded! There were as many Chinese shoppers as those from other races. Singaporeans really love shopping. There were so many adults and children dressing in traditional clothes milling among the merchandise.
I bought polka dot mugs to match my Franc Franc plates and a bonsai plant. There wasn't any discount for the bonsai though it might be a leftover from CNY stock.
And now I have my lobotime as C has gone off to his pal's place to play mahjong. It's staycation at mum's tonight and I'm going to disturb Silky.
Blessed CNY, everyone, and HUAT ARH!
