This is a year of zero-savings that comes with loads of fun. I'm actually happier with less responsibilities at work. Worrying thoughts do spring into my mind sporadically about the savings issue but I'm learning to relax and trust in God to take a sabbatical year off.
Suppose to have a small group lesson today but the boys cancelled on me. I'm so happy! It's not that I don't want the money but I have no choice right? :) I still give 100% of myself when I conduct private lessons but hey, it's not my responsibility if they miss lessons since I've spoken to them about the importance of consistent work.
Wonder if anyone reads my LJ entries? If you do, can you give me your opinions about the Swiss Pass? Some people told me it's a must to get to save on rail, bus and boat travel. My situation is such that I'm a walker and and I'm only taking trains from Zurich airport to Interlaken, Interlaken to Jungfrau Mountain and back, Interlaken to Lucerne and Lucerne to Paris. In betweeen, I may enjoy one or two boat trips in Interlaken and Lucerne and perhaps, one or two short rail trips.
BEWARE (Repetition starts from below)
Thinking about the Paris leg makes my toes curl in delight. Imagine helping the sis get H stuff - shopping with other people's money but enjoying the experience for free. The generous woman asked me to keep VAT but I'm not going to do that.
As for myself, I hope to be offered leather accessories and bags from H. I'm not into scarves yet, not in this SG weather and the nature of my job.
Chanel Chanel. I want to get a few brooches and necklaces if possible. I hope not to buy any bags though the chic caviar dark blue range caught my attention recently.
C wants to visit the factory outlet near Disneyland but his sis, the flea, said there wasn't anything much to buy. I'm not sure if I can trust her or her taste. Perhaps I'll spend half a day there just to check out Ferragamo and Agnes B.
Hope to visit the Louvre but I'm not going to queue for hours just to get in. If the line is manageable, I'll just cover the paintings' sections this time round. I'm more interested in the Rodin museum and I suspect the crowd will be smaller. (Yes, I'm afraid of crowds, which explains why I'm beginning to plan for Autumn/Winter trips after the wonderful experience in Italy last year where there's so much space to walk around as compared to when the sis had to queue like crazy to gain entry into various historical attractions in Summer.)
I wonder if I'll get a few good days without rain so that I can sit outdoors in cafes on the left bank where great writers enjoyed their days in Paris. Would I still feel the vibes of that era gone by?
