Am currently back at work today but couldn't resist borrowing this from my friend Sandra's Lj blog. Shall post about my Christmas later but hope this will be interesting for now!
The 2007 Survey
1. What was the best part of 2007?
I unexpectedly and happily say I could pick no ‘one’ moment! Meeting Jason Isaacs would HAVE to be mentioned of course, but then both London Expo conventions were brilliant for different reasons too. Then the recent experience of seeing ‘Apocalyptica’ live must also be added to the list!
2. What was the worst part of 2007?
Feeling like a failure at times when applying for jobs and getting nowhere.
3. What was the biggest surprise of 2007?
Becoming an anime/manga fan? Seriously did not plan that or see it coming!
4. What are you most looking forward to next year?
Well have the London Expo in May pratically planned down to the last minute so I guess that would have to be at the top of the list. Have also just heard that a friend from Portugal is visiting London and plan to see her for the day, then would love to see ‘Nightwish’, ‘Apocalyptica’ and many other friends! So am very lucky and have many things to look forward to.
5. Is there anything you’re not looking forward to next year?
In March my current job contract ends so am NOT looking forward to that unless something amazing happens and I get offered a job that lasts more than 6 months somewhere!
6. Which new years resolution did you keep last year?
I had the resolution of trying to get out of the house more and not overwork, and to be more sociable instead - not shutting people off from my problems and share them. I believe 2007 has been an improvement on this and have my lovely friends to thank for that!
7. What will be your new years resolutions this year?
Start to eat more sensibly no matter how stressed or depressed one might get at times. I would add exercise more but that would just be stupid in realistic terms, ha ha.
8. Which resolution are you most likely to break?
Am sure I shall break the above statement many times, but hopefully the thought and intent counts!
9. Which resolution are you most likely to keep?
No point making many in my book.
10. What will you be doing on new years eve?
Recovering from a fun day at the British Museum in London hopefully!
11. Who will you be with at new years eve?
My parents
12. Who do you want to kiss to see the New Year in?
David Tennant, Ioan Gruffudd, Sean Bean…the usual unobtainable guys I go for!
13. Who will you probably end up kissing to see the New Year in?
No one, at least it is traditional in this respect
14. What was the best song of last year?
Ooh good question! Hayley Westenra’s album had many beautiful pieces, including a new favourite called ‘Summer Fly’, but then there is Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back to Black’ which I couldn’t help but like.
15. What was the best TV show of last year?
‘Ugly Betty’ and ‘Smallville’ became staple shows for me to watch! I also enjoyed the BBC’s new adaptation of ‘Jane Eyre’ and the recent ‘Cranford’.
16. What was the best book you read last year?
I loved reading ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ of course, but also hungrily ate up the entire ‘Death Note’ manga series and the ‘Fullmetal Alchemist’ books. Enjoyed reading David Gemmell’s ‘Troy’ trilogy (yet to read book 3!) and many others!
17. What was the best film of last year?
Tough call again, I enjoyed ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’ and then there was also ‘Hot Fuzz’. Despite the layers of cheese I did also enjoy watching ‘Music and Lyrics’ too.
18. What change would you make to your life next year?
Would I or could I make? lol
- What change would you like to see in the world next year?
People becoming more humane, common sense to prevail and equality for all! I don’t ask for much surely!
