Last night we went to see The Complete Works of Shakespeare: Abridged down at the Commons with Jon and Christin. I had never seen it before! And it was hilarious.
If I call the three characters Superego, Ego, and Id, will y'all know what I'm talking about? They actually went by the actor's names, but this isn't useful for anyone who wasn't at the same production.
So anyway, Ego was the guy who played Bassanio in Merchant (and I think he was actually better in this). Superego was the guy who wrote their Robin Hood. And Id wasn't someone I recognized off the top of my head, but he was awesome. And kept vomiting on everyone. We escaped nearly the whole play and then right at the end Gertrude threw up on Christin and it was awesome. He also stole our playbill earlier on and I had to ask for another one afterwards :P
I can't tell, but I think they left out Pericles. Hard to say because of how they did the comedies (is Pericles a comedy??) But the entire second half was Hamlet. AND THEN THEY DID IT BACKWARDS. Eeeeeee! That was awesome.
Today we're going blackberry picking up in Mansfield with the whole group. Whee! Which means I don't really have time for much more of this post. So be happy, all, in all that you do!
