Not actually dead!
So, first off - Happy 4th of July everyone! I'm not actually dead - I've just been without power for the last week and a half. I'm actually still without power, but we're camped out at a friend's house. They have air conditioning. It's amazing!
The other bit of fun wackiness is that I've been sick as a dog for the last two and a half weeks. I'm now mostly better, but it's been utterly miserable in the interim. In particular since the first day of it was my Anniversary. Which seems like as good a place as any to start!
Friday: Five year anniversary! Go us! Went to see Scapin - it was awesome!
Saturday: Cookout with the gang. Fire and fireflies! Jon and Christin!
Sunday: Saw Brave in the big theater. It...was really disappointing. Standard Disney Princess schtick. Pixar, what have you done?
Monday: Sick as a dog, stayed home from work for the first time ever.
Wednesday: Played 1,000 Blank White Cards and watched Coupling with the girlies
Thursday: Erin's birthday! Cards Against Humanity and Scategories
Friday: Almighty storm. A tree fell on Joel-Henry. He's fine but the car's a bit smashed in. Oh, and the power went out. And stayed out.
Saturday: Steve's birthday! We played Sentinels of the Multiverse by lamplight. Oil lamp light that is! Honestly pretty awesome - I'd thought those were decorative.
Sunday: Desperately trying to find somewhere with power. Eventually went to go see the Avengers. It was great! You'll hear no spoilers from me though.
Monday: Eventually gave up on our airless house and did the refugee thing.
Tuesday: Red, White and Boom! Worked the fireworks event, lots of stuff blowing up!
Today: Well, that's where you all came in.
