Victory!
So, we're currently in the process of moving into a new house. It's a bit north of where we are, and twice as far away from campus, but it's basically the northernmost end of the convenient bus route, so that's good.
The house itself is gorgeous. Wooden floors, a yard with gigantic trees, and bookshelves inset around the fireplace. Yesterday, Christin and I put the library together. Some of the walls are painted rather unconventional colors, but I suppose we'll get used to them.
Yesterday the internet got hooked up. You can tell, can't you? And today, not long ago, the gas got turned on. So I dutifully waited half an hour for the water heater to do its work - and now I'm going to take a warm shower. Victory!
