Promisory Note
Here are some things that have been going on with me. I should really post about them at some point.
- Circleville Pumpkin Show was awesome. As always. I've totally got pictures. Steve & Ali came, and there were fried pumpkin flowers! We totally failed to get pumpkin Canoli again. Next time.
- Ballroom Dance Class that Joel-Henry and I are taking is going well. Except we still suck. And, thank you, please do not ask me to do a dance IN THREE to music IN FOUR. There was a party last night. We dressed up and were totally sexy. Some day, we will also know how to dance.
- Weekly Sewing Circles with Ali. They all knit, I cross stitch. They knitted me a moebius scarf which I wear EVERY DAY. I finished my pumpkins and need a new pattern. Ali's friend Rachel is so like me it hurts.
- tungol's family was in town. We met them. They were cool.
- Letterboxing - we met the LizardLovers last weekend and gave them their stamp back (we found a stamp and logbook when one of their boxes was destroyed). They're cool people. Middleschool teachers and total Pinkwater fans. I kind of want to be them when I grow up.
- Dracula played for the final time yesterday. Jimmy Orrante is retiring - but still totally hot. We went to see it with Jon & Christin on Saturday. Our seats were terrible. But we still had a great time.
- Homemade Hot Sauce was a success. Joel-Henry took our homegrown peppers, and Ali's homegrown peppers, and some store-bought peppers, and made hot sauce. It rocked.
- Pumpkin Carving Party last weekend was also a success. Although Joel-Henry's pumpkin already has impressive amounts of mold on it. Kinda scary, really. Also, gummy eyeballs are freaky.
- My halloween costume is coming together. It's a secret to everyone!
- Teaching continues on apace. I'm so behind in grading.
- Arabic is starting to come together. I can totally make pharyngials now! And my name is Zafira.
- Babylon 5 is lots of good fun. Londo kills the talking cricket. Or, at least, gets it sent to Minbar. The Saga of Zack Allen is in full swing - will he fall or stand firm? Only subsequent episodes will tell!
- CATCO is having us read plays for them to decide what to perform. I am bound by law to say no more about that.
- My cold will not seem to go away. Maybe it's allergies. That would suck.
- Autumn happened. What the heck. There's frost on the grass. Good thing we took the basil in.
- Second Year Paper submitted on time, still awaiting comments from two out of three readers. Third Year Paper - suggestions anyone?
So.....that's what's up with me. In several large nutshells. Like Denmark! Be Happy, all!
