Break

So I'm home in Newton and glad to be here, for now, even though my friends aren't home. I need this break from routine, from faces, from thought - too many philosophers in such a short period really fuck with your head.

I've been doing lots of exercise and lots of watching TV, sometimes at the same time. TV is good for the first hour or two and then I wonder why I'm wasting my time, should be reading. I'm reading The Da Vinci Code, hooray for trends.

Also been applying for jobs - Gap, Anthropologie, New England Mobile, Barnes and Noble, Borders. Don't really want to work at those places, but if I have to I'll do it and also take a class somewhere too. I went on craigslist and found this one job as a proofreader for a publishing company and i think it's perfect. $16 an hour, for crying out loud.

Pros:
-$16 an hour
-guaranteed 35 hrs per week
-in a field i'd like to become familiar with
-located downtown so i'd be in boston all the time
-9 - 5 so no more getting off work at 2am coated in fudge plus nights free to be with friends
-ends Aug. 11 so i could still go on vacation w/ family maybe

Cons:
-boring as all fuck plus at a desk all day
-possibly must dress nicely for work
-can't take a class or go on Birthright
-i probably won't get it anyway - how do you write a resume?

It's not even midnight and I'm thinking of heading up to bed. This is a good thing: I like sleep, especially here.
