It's unsettling, this clish-clash of high school and college lives, this blending of Newton and Providence, of people who know one part of me, and people who know another.
Can anyone know the whole, and would I want anyone to know the whole? Well the whole would include me when I'm by myself and no one can know that, so I suppose the answer is no. But can anyone really know me at South and at Brown? I'd say no, but I don't know.
It was great to see Kate and Sonia and Dan this weekend. I wish the weekend had been more exciting so they could have seen how awesome Brown is. Well I'm tired of frat parties anyway. I'm looking forward to Spring Break. This is an unexpected development.

After dropping off Kate and Dan at the train station, I walked back up the hill and over to Whole Foods for grocery shopping, about 2 miles. A light drizzle was falling and a damp breeze cooling my cheeks. The hill has never felt so invigorating; I had more energy than I've had in a week. Wonderful, calm, contemplative, a siren in the distance like that time sophomore year when I was walking home from the Eliot T stop. I was content.
It must have been the Indian food.
