I got pretty much everything I wanted for Christmas, which wasn't very much at all (especially in comparison to other years). Give me my music and my models, bitches.
Father gave me distressing news on Christmas Eve: My sister was probably going to be spending Christmas up in Lansing, with her boyfriend. It pissed me off a lot, especially since I hadn't been able to get Father anything (he's getting a late gift of a Bob Dylan CD, damnit), and I'd asked her to pick it up for me on her way home.
Luckily for me, she did come home, albeit very late; unfortunately, she hadn't been able to get the gift for Father. I felt pretty bad about it, and then I felt even worse when I forgot about the DVD I'd gotten her; I thought that I hadn't gotten it. (It was my luck, though, that I discovered it when I was wrapping Mother's gifts. I gave my sister the Cinderella DVD first thing in the morning.)
Mother hadn't bothered to cover up any of the price tags on the gifts she got us, so I felt really bad about how much money she'd spent since money is tight with her. I'd definitely wearing the clothes she bought me, though (she even got me a bomber-style leather jacket - secondhand, of course, but I'm still miffed about the amount she probably spent on it).
We've still got leftover Christmas lasagna. The family had a wonderful time (so rare when it comes to the four of us) watching Seinfeld as the night drew to a close.
Chris's party was quite awesome, although I was rather annoyed by the fact that Augie, Austin, and Ben didn't bother to dress nicely (although Austin seemed to make an attempt). The punch was liquid Christmas cheer, and holy shit, I swear I'll have the stuff in me for the entire year, it was that strong. I imagine they just drained an elf of its bodily juices to procure it.
It was a pleasant way to end the year. There was no yelling, there was no fighting; there was only a group of friends and a shitload of tea.
