Name: Vanja
【 About Yourself... 】
Please describe your personality:
My personality can seem contradictory or random to others, as I can act quite differently depending on the situation and who I'm around. I'm cynical, but still have some idealism in the sense that I'm passionate about the causes I care about and still get disappointed when people seem to be going backwards. I enjoy helping friends, but I can't stand most people. I'm nihilistic objectively, but I do care about things on a more personal level. I've been called easy-going + intense, reckless + planned, among other things. Sometimes one part of these will appear more prominent than the other part, but then it'll eventually swing back.
I can be too outspoken, argumentative, and blunt. While I can plan things out usually... well, if they're important actions, at least, I need better control over my mouth. I have a tendency to open it no matter who it is-- I've gotten into arguments with teachers, managers, etc... I do have a filter over it to an extent, but this has created problems in the past.
You could call me "self-made," for lack of a better term. Much of what I know, I had to learn on my own. I've had to dig myself out of an area that seemed to have a "Abandon hope, all ye born here... unless you're one of the few sons/daughters of factory owners!" motto, and it has severely impacted my overall mentality and perspectives.
If you want my MBTI, I almost always get INTJ. (
percentages) I'm not the quietest introvert and do make choices based on emotions at times, but the
general description when all are applied as a whole fits quite well. The main aspect I'd say doesn't fit is the bit about not being able to support others, although I do tend to offer solutions rather than just hug them. All of the other negatives? Spot on, sadly... (Always wanting to improve things, assuming I'm right... Note to self: Don't be such an ass.)
There's also
this popular quiz used on these, which does fit very well, particularly the part I highlighted. If you need any more of these because I clearly don't ramble enough, I tend to get
5 - "The Investigator" (with 3 or 8 close behind) for Enneagrams, Chaotic Neutral (it's always pretty far in the Chaotic spectrum while the morality is often mixed, which fits CN well anyway, heh, especially since I do just tend to whatever I feel will be best or most amusing for a situation and don't believe in good or evil), and am a Scorpio who does tend to get either it (for being secretive, passionate inside, resentful, with a tendency to see through lies) or Aquarius (freedom-loving / questions authority, can be seen as detached, unpredictable, and hates loneliness) when it comes to personality.
Positive traits:
Analytical, independent, calm-minded (read: despite anything else, I at least think rationally), clever, open-minded, curious, "humorous"... but that can also be a negative *points below*
Negative traits:
Hopelessly self-critical, secretive (in the sense that I don't like to talk aboutind) for Enneagrams, Chaotic Neutral (it's always pretty far in the Chaotic spectrum while the morality is often mixed, which fits CN well anyway, heh, especially since I do just tend to whatever I feel will be best or most amusing for a situation and don't believe in good or evil), and am a Scorpio who does tend to get either it (for being secretive, passionate inside, resentful, with a tendency to see through lies) or Aquarius (freedom-loving / questions authority, can be seen as detached, unpredictable, and hates loneliness) when it comes to personality.
Please list some of your dislikes:
More than anything? Bigots, gender generalizations, people who complain but don't do anything to change whatever they're whining about, and the feeling of failure. Other dislikes include people who keep me up until 4 in the morning when I have to get up at 7, anything with the words "Hallmark" or "Lifetime" attached to it, and privileged people who think they're the most amazing people in the universe when they've never had to do anything for themselves in their lives.
What is the first impression that you give others?:
It really depends. Some assume I'm nice and helpful while others assume I'm a terrible demon. I like to think that neither are really true As much as I hate to admit it, I sometimes come off as intimidating and "intense," but then again, other people who I've only talked to for a brief bit have called me down-to-earth and laid-back, so it definitely varies.
How are you described by those who know you?:
Most people, after they know me, say something along the lines of "intelligent, snarky, and abrasive."
+ When I did Johari/Nohari windows recently the most commonly picked traits were independent, self-assertive, witty, logical, intelligent, trustworthy, cynical, chaotic, callous, blasé, overdramatic, and hostile.
*Though I was told people wanted adjectives which weren't there, like that blasé meant that I get bored easily and overdramatic because of the self-criticalness causing me to think the world is ending if I mess something up... but there are better words that weren't options for all that.
【 Are you more... 】
A realist, an idealist, an optimist or a pessimist: I have ideals, but I know what's realistic.
Cautious or Impulsive: I plan things out if they're important and I tend to think things through in general, but I can still act impulsive if I just don't care regardless. Often in day-to-day actions, I'll consider all the possibilities, but still do something reckless when it comes to the short term.
Calm or Hyper: Depends on the amount of coffee I've had? I normally act more energetic than I feel, though.
Trusting or Cynical: Cynical.
Leader or Follower: True to my MBTI stereotype, a background leader. I'm too opinionated and outspoken to be a complete follower, but I prefer to advise rather than outright lead. I will take up a leader position if no one else is willing to and/or the only people who want to are incompetent, though.
Introverted or Extroverted: Introverted.
Independent or Dependent: Independent.
Persistent or Laid-Back: Persistent, provided I care enough about something. Otherwise, laid-back. I don't really consider these opposites anyway, so~
Confident or Modest: Confident when I know I'm good at something, modest about everything else.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
There's actually... quite a bit. Despite being calm on the surface (again, normally), I wish I actually were also calm underneath that.
Do you enjoy conflict or do you seek to end it as soon as you can?
I enjoy certain types of conflict, but loathe others. I'm competitive and love a good debate, for instance, but I hate senseless drama or petty fights.
Someone just cut in front of you in the store, when you've already been waiting for quite some time. How do you react?
Probably say something like "hey, I guess you didn't notice, but the end of the line is back there." If they persist on staying there for whatever reason, I wouldn't force the issue, but I can't imagine not saying something.
Imagine yourself fighting in order to save the world, or to put an end to it depending on your ideals. What motivates you to fight? Would it be for the sake of the world, just because you felt like helping out, for a specific desire, for yourself?
Honestly? Probably a mixture. I would be doing it partially for the world, as I want to see that place changed, but that also implies I'm doing it for myself, as there's always plenty of people who want to see the world go in different directions and I'm selfishly pushing it towards the one I want in that situation.
'Sides, I'm sure the benefits from it - at least in the saving one - would be great and all-too-tempting...
Speaking of fighting, would you play the offensive, defensive or supportive role?
I like both offensive and supportive. I rarely ever care about defense.
You've come across a powerful enemy, but are already aware you won't acquire anything tangible by beating it. Do you fight it anyway?
Maybe. I like a challenge, but I'm not really the type to start a physical fight for it. I think it would depend on how much the enemy annoys me.

Are there any characters you would prefer not to be voted as? Nope! I'm just really curious since in rating comms in the past I always unanimously got a 02 character. I don't recall ever getting compared to a 01 character~
