Gah, I apologize if my vote is really inaccurate since I'm not at all familiar with this series. I had a hard time finding a character that was a great fit for you based off of the descriptions...and after reading the above votes, I do believe I'm leaning the most towards a vote for Renshou Sorinozuka as well--if only because it does seem like certain aspects of his character really do perhaps match more for parts of your application than others might.
I could see elements of INTJ, a mix of The Analytical & The Independent Thinker, and Type 1 personality types fitting for him based off of their descriptions...and True Neutral perhaps could work too. He seems like a character who can be very distant, secretive, serious and introverted at times. He doesn't seem to really care much for useless talk, and can be quiet unless he has an opinion to share. He seems more likely to keep to himself, but doesn't seem withdrawn or anything like that either. He can be more cynical at times, and he seems rather logical and practical too. He seems somewhat apathetic as well, but it seems like if he feels strongly about something he becomes more passionate. Once he becomes attached to someone, they become very important to him too. Analytical, introverted, mischievous, private, sarcastic, smartass when annoyed, cautious, critical, stubborn, sometimes moody, independent, strong-willed, understanding, logical, thoughtful, cunning, rather determined (but not over anything and everything), patient, rational, realistic, collected, mature, curious, observant, snarky, loyal to those who have earned it all seem like traits that could possibly be associated with him. I could see him perhaps being described by others in a similar fashion too.
He seems like he could possibly be more of a pessimistic realist at times, is cautious, calm, cynical, can be a leader from the background type, is perhaps somewhat more introverted, independent, perhaps is persistent if he feels strongly about something, and his confidence and modesty levels seem to depend on situations as well. He could perhaps share your views on conflict too, and he could perhaps respond similarly to the "someone cutting in line" scenario as well. He perhaps might join in the "world-altering battle" for similar reasoning too. :D
