Day.....
I'm supposed to be packing. Or writing. Or braiding my hair. Or doing pretty much anything other than watching Kill Bill 2 and admiring the gorgeous and badass(ish?) douchebagginess of Elle Driver.
I've crushed on Daryl Hannah ever since Splash but I definitely love her best in KB. ETA: Followed closely--and inexplicably?--by her role in Steel Magnolias. (I realize that the eye patch probably plays some role in this, too. Oh, and my thing for hot villains in general. I'm weird.) Anywho...
I was speechless for a bit after I watched this, and a fair bit snotty. It was always one thing to know the story of Alan Turing but seeing it (creative liberties notwithstanding) moved me much more than I thought it would. And stuff and feelings and emotions. Ahem. (And I can't even try to hide my adoration of Benedict Cumberbatch anymore. So there's also that. But I don't want to bone the guy or anything like that. Just his voice. ;-)
I first discovered Collide back when MySpace was still a thing. Remember that? Anyway, I've highly enjoyed their music ever since. It's not often that I can honestly say I like a cover song just as much as the original (actually, I think it only applies to one other song, maybe two... okay yeah, two) but yeah, this is one of those times.
