Animanga LIMS Round Two: CH. 1 RESULTS
Waah, modding a LIMS is a lot harder than it looks! But I will perservere. I have so much respect (even more so than before) for review and silverqe right now to be able to mod this behemoth for so long. Results for Challenge 1 are here (finally. Sorry it took so long. I just wanted to make sure everything was right. D:)! Unfortunately this week, we're losing some really great iconists. I really hate to have to cut you guys, but it can't be helped.
Also, a big thank you to the voters! I didn't think we'd get so many votes because of the massive icon table, but, uh... I was proven wrong. Very wrong. But anyway, I'll stop rambling now.

nyaabo's comments: I really like how this icon incorporated all of the characters! Each section is cropped well, and the gritty texture really fits the atmosphere of the image. I think the icon could be a little less faded, but everything else on the icon definitely makes up for it. Awesome icon, conspire!!

nyaabo's comments: I love the warm colors on this icon. The textures and everything just mesh in really well with everything in the icon. Good job cutting Yumichika out too! I think it could lose the tiny double image on the left, but other than that I don't have much to say about this icon except that I really like it!

adaneko's comments: The word "badass" definitely caught my eye first on this one, but beyond that I felt this icon had a very strong composition. The type isn't distracting and is placed in an integrated manner with Toushirou's image. What I really love are the textures and the repeat of his face in the background. The red shine really looks good on the texture! I love the mood the colors set. Very nice work!

adaneko's comments: I'll be honest, I hated the way Renji looked in the original image, but whiteplums did an awesome job with the crop in the icon. All of a sudden Renji looks badass instead of silly! I think the colors and texture make a nice combo in the background, but what I really like is the type treatment. The spacing is really tight and gives the letterforms a very interesting look. Rather than seeing words right away, I see a cool looking image element. Awesome job!
