Sorry about the tardiness, I forgot where I saved this thing. (EVENTUALLY I REMEMBERED I SAVED IT TO EVERNOTE.) UGHHH IDK WHAT TO COME UP WITH. I WROTE THE CHALLENGE ONLY TO SCRAP IT & USE THIS ONE. OBVS YOU'LL KNOW WHAT IT IS BC OF THE BANNER. OH WELL. I DO HOPE YOU GUYS HAVE FUN THO.
THOSE ARE POISON BERRIES, THIS IS A VIOLET BANNER.Alright so the color for this week is purple! Oh purple, color of eggplants, why are you so hard to icon? For this weeks challenge I want you to use purple. :3 Purple can be seen in a lot of places, it's the color of ~royalty, cute fruits/veggies, & a ton flowers. So for this challenge we're going to interpret purple through royal symbolism, flowers & fruits/veggies. Easy right? Yes, it will be. First things first I want you to use purple in whatever way you see fit. Any shade of purple is welcome. ANY. You can use it predominantly but it's not required. Besides using purple I ask that you interpret ONE of the two following things in your icon:
- Royalty - Purple is the color of royalty (you know kings, queens, etc). For this requirement I want you to interpret royalty through whatever way you see fit. You could do it through royal clothing, crowns, text, etc. Have fun with this, use them manip skills. ;D
- Flowers/Fruits/Veggies - DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY FUCKING PURPLE FLOWERS/FRUITS/VEGGIES THERE ARE IN THIS WORLD? YEAH A LOT. GOOGLE THAT. (Lavender & wisteria are a couple of purple flowers that come to mind. Eggplants & grapes are some of the veggie/fruits that come to my mind.) For this requirement I want you to include some type of purple flower/fruit/veggie. You can color/manip them, they don't have to be naturally purple. I don't care, whatever floats your creative boat is cool with me. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE ALL THREE OF THESE, JUST ONE WILL DO. SO YOU CAN USE A PURPLE FLOWER & CALL IT A DAY. USE EGGPLANTS, IT'D BE CUTE.
Those are the 2 choices you have to pick from. YOU ONLY NEED ONE OF THESE (+ USING PURPLE) TO FULL FILL THE CHALLENGE REQUIREMENTS. If you want to be extreme & do the other one besides the required one I'll give you one extra point. So there's a possibility of earning 1 extra bonus point for this challenge besides the one you get for submitting. C: I hope this is clear! Yeah, by now you know I suck at this.BONUS: OUT OF THE BOX.Okay so in case you missed the memo purple also happens to be a color that encourages creativity. For this bonus icon (worth 2 points + whatever you earn from voting) I want you to make an icon that's out of the box for you. MAKE AN ICON THAT'S OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE. If you normally don't do manga coloring, do that. If you normally make bright icons make a dark one. Interpret this however you want. HAVE FUN & GO CRAZY! :D I made this a bonus icon bc I know not everyone wants to do something different. :C
We've done this theme before here @ animan but that was for last rounds finalists. I thought it'd be neat to bring it back again since the results of this challenge were amazing, see:
