the dollhouse SÉVELIN'S HOUSE OF HOSTS
The Coven Sévelin's Dollhouse is, as its name implies, a collection of pretty blood-sucking dolls-- each handpicked by the den mother, who watches over her garden of precious monster-blooms. None of them are particularly strong old vampires, or even particularly sane, but each is a painfully obvious beauty. Beauty is the commodity at the Dollhouse. Wealthy humans (and on the rare occasion, members of other species) itching for a thrill that other humans can't give them will come and play-court their favorite dolls, bringing them gifts and buying expensive champagne to earn idle conversation, batted eyelashes. Each doll is a host of their own style, some hard-to-get and some sweet.
All the dolls live together with the den mother in a manor in Nebraska, funded partially by patrons and partially by the wealth of House Sévelin. Each doll keeps their own room in the second floor-- finely furnished, luxurious-- and the ground floor is reserved for socializing with patrons.

As the youngest, he was often doted on and unarguably spoiled; however, little was expected of Charlie, and while his older brothers were preparing to start businesses, marry, and inherit their fortunes, he found himself bored by the prospect of such a future. Charlie had no interest in wives and entrepreneurship-- only in his life of luxury.
It was coincidence that the den mother of the Dollhouse had recently arrived in England. She had begun her collection in France, with young fledglings Bluebell and Jonquil. An English blossom was just what her budding garden needed-- and so, seeing the haughty angel-faced prince, she extended her offer to him. Wooed by the idea of not only preserving his youth and beauty but spending his days being courted by humans desperate for his attention, Charlie accepted. After being turned, he took on the name Oleander, the poisonous wildflower, and came to live at the Nebraskan manor with the other dolls. Bratty, condescending, and difficult to please, he is one of the oldest dolls. He has little tolerance for the younger dolls and is often found keeping company with Jonquil and Bluebell.
