The Autumn is not so far, and it's right time for collectors to dream about which animals are we longing for the most to see as figurines.
My Top-5 has evolved
since last year and it's normal I think.
Now I've defined my personal Top-20 list of species. Here are the first 10 items (in wish-decreasing order):
1. Gaur- those abundant tiger figurines should have prey! :) apart from that, gaurs are really gorgeous.
2. Guereza (aka Eastern Black-and-white Colobus) - there have to be African monkeys (not apes) in Schleich line-up cause somebody must be put on the branches of Schleich acacia and baobab!!! :)) And guereza is pretty large and beautiful to become a figurine.
3. Great hornbill - gorgeous large-sized bird, quite common for S.-E. Asia.
4. Clouded leopard - another beautiful tree-dweller.
5. Anoa - rare and beautiful, it could be the first rep of Sulawesi wildlife among all the toy animal line-ups.
6. Howler monkey - at least one monkey species is a must for making a S. American display!
7. Lion-tailed Macaque - great looking monkey for Indian wildlife displays.
8. Asiatic black bear - it's simply a matter of taste, I like this animal very much.
9. Sun Bear - the same as with #4.
10. Mountain Sheep (Argali or Mouflon) - the same as with #8.
11. Coati
12. Red river hog
12. Axis deer
13. Secretary Bird
14. American Badger
15. De Brazza's Monkey
16. Cassowary
17. Blackbuck
18. Magpie goose
19. Brazilian tapir
20. Anaconda
And if speaking about Schleich's Forest Life range separately, I'd offer Schleich to make Red deer buck in head-down position (hooking) and Wapiti in bellowing position. Such figures would look cool and be playable for kids.
