New figurines in my collection (incl. my first Papo animals)
A friend of mine has returned from Florida and brought me my order - two Papo and three Safari Ltd. animals. Tiger and gorilla became the first Papo figures in my collection.
Yeah, Papo and Safari are not sold in Ukraine - that's why I had asked my friend to buy them for me in the US.
Tiger looks great, but gorilla is too glossy and soft to my mind - I like Schleich gorilla more.
Unfortunately, the aardvark and otter are in a larger scale than Schleich figures, so they won’t look appropriate in my dioramas. But I think I can use the Safari otter as a Giant Otter (Pteronura brasiliensis) and place it in my South American display. Or maybe as an African Clawless Otter - the second largest freshwater species of otter.
I’ve also bought the North American River Otter by Safari not having noticed that it’s from the Incredible Creatures line-up. So it’s too-o-o large for my displays and I presented it to my son. He liked it.
