Here is some more fun info about a bit of the internal works of Animal Crossing In the game itself, on rare occasion a "DUMMY" item appears. It usually surfaces during the winter months, when speaking with an animal in an igloo. This particular item is a placeholder, used when the programmers were making the game, which ( Read more... )

Knife and Fork is a thanksgiving item, isn't it? It's what the turkey asks you to get.

That is right! Thank you for reminding me ; I thought it sounded familiar but had forgotten.

When I dropped it in my house, it dissappeared entirely (a la if I was, say, 'throwing away' a letter). I wasn't sure if it was a duplicate copy (that is, an alternate code for that item), or for the item under 'normal circumstances' itself. I'll "ETA" the entry.

You are correct! The plum kimono is another of the items that you can secretly get. I shall post the codes for them shortly ; as soon as I test them.

The "raccon object" is probably a Tanuki. You find them everywhere in Japan... mostly in front of shops and stuff. o_O;; they're really adorable. More info can be found on Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanuki

Also taken from Wiki relative to this post:
In the video game Animal Crossing, the store owner is a bipedal talking raccoon named "Tom Nook", which is a play on the word "tanuki". The furniture Tom peddles also transforms into green leaves in a similar fashion for portability.
