(no subject)
So I just got back from Mass Maritime last night, and I need to write all about it b/c it was such a blast! But first off I need to just state that I am way too old for the bash people online bullshit, so there is one person I am terribly disappointed in, I thought he was different, but I'm not going to say anymore about it. Plus, despite the stress that person put on the situation, the trip was still awesome and I still had a great time so why harp on the one thing that went sour right?
So anyway, Ant and I had such a great time in the car singing like morons to old school Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, and Christina Aguilera; that alone made the trip worth while, but then we get to Mass Maritime Academy, and holy crap...the school is so pretty...it's on the cape...the boys are all in uniform (hehe), and a very sharp uniform I might add, and we got to meet some really awesome guys that I think gave both Ant and I hope in the male population.
So Tuesday night we get there, and we got there a little late, so we met the guys and then just went out for ice cream at Friendly's, then watched a movie. Even that was fun...then on Wednesday, myself, Ant, Chris, and a guy we met, Matt "muthscles" Crawley (did I spell his last name right?), went to the mall and then the beach. Let me just tell you...I can never even begin to put into words how fucking (and yes it is necessary here) hilarious Matt Crawley is...holy shit the kid is just nonstop entertainment...and then to top it off, he's a genuinely nice guy...it's amazing...so anyway, we had a great time being entertained by Matt's disappearing and reappearing acts in Barnes and Nobel, had some interesting conversation about pulling ears (hehe)...then we went to the beach and hung out...wow, this is making me miss this so much...good times good times....
So on Thursday Chris, Ant, and I went to Reading and saw Liz!!!! We met her friend Carolyn and her boyfriend Matt, who both seemed very nice, and we went to eat at this awesome place, then we went to this furniture store that also happens to have a water show, ice cream parlor, movie theater, and a bunch of things made out of jelly beans...oh and a flying trapeze! It was awesome, we walked around and got ice cream and watched these kids learn how to use the trapeze. So then we went mini golfing…and the guy yelled at us several times for stupid things...which was kinda funny actually...then we went back to her house, saw her parents and played a game, then we headed back to MMA….
On Friday we hung around for a while and then Ant and I got a tour of “The Enterprise” (a ship) by the guys…I have to say that was one impressive ship and I was really impressed with Matt C’s and Ben’s knowledge of the ship…anyway, then sadly, we had to leave.
Overall, the trip was great, and I am really happy to have met some awesome guys. And I just want to say I’m sorry if we were in anyone’s way while they were studying for finals. I asked a million times if it were ok that we went during finals, and I was under the impression that it was, but it seems we got in the way…so sorry about that I guess. Also, thanks so much Chris for being such an awesome host…I know you weren’t really planning on having to do so much hosting, so I really do appreciate it.
Just one more thing….Matt and I are no longer "together", or whatever we were, b/c “the distance “ thing just isn't going to work…so I guess I actually did have every reason to be nervous about meeting him b/c what I feared would happen when he saw me did actually happen…. but it’s cool, it's probably for the better anyway.
