HP7
I have finished HP7.
Strangely I nearly cried at Fred's death this time. This time round, even though I'd read all the deaths already, they seemed to come out of nowhere, I found myself surprised when Mad-eye died, shocked when Dobby died and Ted and Dirk, and really sad when Fred went. Which is really weird because I was less of those things when they were still unknown. Obviously the last bit with the snitch and the old gang got me again. I enjoyed it though. And laughed. And Hermione wasn't as completely annoying this time. Minerva rocks. And that crucio was so right. I found, oddly, that I didn't like Snape much. He was so mean- and now...he seems childish which kind of overshadows. I'm wondering how Harry would want to name a son after him when he saw the memories of Snape truly not caring whether he lived or died and throwing that picture away.
Also- Voldy. He thinks he was the only one to ever find the room of hidden things? DId he not find out how Draco's plan worked? Deatheaters would have told Voldy surely that they all came in from that same room. And yet he thinks he was the only one ever to find it? Me thinks not.
Poor Griphook, "Muahahahaha I have the sword. WHAT THE FUCK? Where the bloody hell did it go?!"
I liked Trelawney.
And I liked the underestimation of Mrs Weasley. ANd how she kiiiicked arse.
I liked the symmetry. How Bellatrix died, second time round, strikes me as a nice reflection of Sirius', Neville had snakes to kill afterall. I also liked Hermione's "Are you a wizard or not!" to Ron, who used the same line in book 2. There were several things like that going on in book 7, things said or done that had been said or done in previous books.

Ah Remus. That was the real Remus. I love that Remus. Showed the characteristics we saw from memories. Too scared to do the right thing, lacking in self worth....and it also showed that Harry was an adult that he could see these things that he couldn't see in 3. In 3 Remus was the adult and he just was fullstop. In 7 Harry is an adult and nothing is simply black and white anymore. Remus was never going to be that 3 person- all cardies and quietness and sobriety! He was a marauder ffs! He was only like that to hide "the beast within". Living in a big vat of deniiiiiallllll. I have to say I loved the Remus of book 7. *LOVE*
Tonks was a bit daft and worthless.
Charging tables, I hope that's in the film.
Phineas Nigellus kicks arse. He was the true bad ass. *snigger* Cos let's face it, Lucius was a bit pathetic by the end, all "myyyy sooon!", Bella was all "my loooooord, let us fuck!", snape was all "Look at meeeee!" so that he could die looking into Lily's eyes, Voldy didn't even kick Harry when he was lying on the ground, Draco...need I say anything about his patheticness? Cissy was good right up to the end with that pathetic scene of the Malfoys.
Poor Andromeda.

I find it hard to believe that one little giant and a bunch of centaurs could have taken the whole lot of giants, if so, what was the point of going to ask them to join the good side if it was so easy to defeat them? And why didn't Charlie bring some effing dragons!
As for the epilogue, the most annoying thing in fanfic is when the writer has to bring up that harry was nearly sorted into slytherin, and oh...JK did it too. I'm saying nothing about the rest of that.......YOU KNOW WHAT I THINK.
I wanted to know more about James' dad, Harry doesn't even think about his own grandparents, not on Lily's side or his dad's.
Slughorn's emerald green pyjamas *giggle*.
I liked Neville's grandmother, and actually Muriel wasn't that bad either, especially the comment about George's lopsided ears.
Poor George.

Who did kill Ariana?
Hmmmmmmmmmm.
Would Albus really have usd killing curses to try and break up a fight between his best friend and brother? But then he said he didn't know who cast the curse. I'm going for Grindy.
