I've been back to being a claim handler for 2 weeks now. It's soooo much better now. Especially since this week the claim volume was so light I didn't get any new claims. At all. The entire week. Sure, it's nice for now, but we're a little concerned why, especially after a holiday. Sadly, it seems more likely that the claims got hung up somewhere rather than think that maybe for just a little while fewer people did stupid things in the world ;P We're just bracing ourselves in case they hit hard.
It sounds like they're going to let me stay on the team that reviews files from the other offices, which is what I was hoping for. Next review is in June.
Best of all... it looks like I get to keep my salary! *knocks on wood* Though my boss made it sound like that may be the case in the beginning. It just seemed too good to be true, but no one has said anything so far.
Funny little story about one of those times where things just happen to work out... I watched Kamen Rider Kiva before Kamen Rider Den-O, though actually they came out in opposite order. A Kamen Rider series with a vampire theme was intriguing. I didn't watch the Kiva movie right away because I didn't want it to be over yet so I went right into Den-O. I finished Den-O this week, and tonight I watched the Kiva movie so I can then watch the Kiva/Den-O crossover movie. It's a good thing I happened to wait on the Kiva movie, the main voice actors from Den-O made guest appearances in various roles and used their catch phrases, which I would have missed had I watched it before starting Den-O.
