rain
Rain was unexpected today by many, including me. I heard the weatherman on the news today say, "cloud cover building, will there be rain today?" But does he answer the questions? NOOooOO. He uses this as a tease to keep you glued to the t.v. so you'll wait to find out the answer. I had more important things to do, so I was left wondering, as I put on my non-rain jacket and headed out the door. But to say I was left wondering denotes that I gave it any thought at all, which I really didn't. I was blissfully unaware of the pending downpour as I grabbed my backpack from the back seat, leaving my umbrella on the floor of the car.
When I saw it was raining, I was like, "oh, crap." Not because I mind getting wet, but I minded my coat getting wet. It's not made for the rain, and it's a pretty nice coat. Unfortunately it was too cold to take it off. Oh, well, I came to terms with my misfortune as I charged forth, failing to dodge between the raindrops. By the time I reached my car I was pretty thoroughly soaked. At least when my hair gets wet by the rain, it makes it curly and kinda pretty.
I've recently re-discovered funyuns. they funyummy.
