seeds and sprouting and growing have been on my mind a lot lately.
i just ate the first tomato and zucchini from the garden, and they both tasted fabulous. the zucchini was started from seed. it's one of the most satisfying things to grow something, tend to it, nurture it, make sure the bugs don't bother it too much, and then eat it. ok, that doesn't sound very charming, and at this point I apply that sentiment to plants only, but it was a lovely tomato and such a nice zucchini.
I made a little painting the other day. I think it looks like geese flying for some odd reason, and my mom thought it looked like a code language.
I settled on the title, "germinate". it's not a literal image of germination, but it has that feeling to me. of sprouting and growing and evolving and changing.
Still not the best watercolor in the world but i like the colors. i really need to work on my patience level when working with watercolor. maybe the next one will be better.
