I went for a walk with my mom and Otto and Kasi today. We went to a lake that's only about 20 minutes from our house. We both marveled that we'd "forgotten" about it. We used to go there all the time for walks and even for ice skating when it got cold enough. Usually our go-to places for outdoor activities are to schlep out to the tow path or Mt. Sugarloaf which are at least a 45 minute drive. I'm happy to have rediscovered this outdoor hiking area.
It was so enjoyable to be outside and near the water. We both agreed that we should go for walks at the lake everyday. I don't know if we'll keep it up, but I'd like to. Walking around my neighborhood is pretty much just no fun.
Change seems to be afoot. We'll see how it all plays out. My mom has a friend coming on Tuesday night who will stay until Sunday. She's from Connecticut and is coming to do a show in DC where my mom and she met last year. My mom went up to CT to do a show and stayed with her, so she's repaying the favor. Apparently this lady talks a lot but is otherwise pretty normal.
On Sunday we probably have someone coming to live with us for a while. I don't think it will be for very very long. Maybe a month or so?
It's my brother's current business partner. He has to be out of his current place by Sunday, so he might come here. If he does, he's going to train me in person to do what they are teaching. To get the training in person will be the fastest way for me to learn, and I think it would be very cool if it works out.
At this point I don't have too much to say about any of it, but it seems like my lazy days are soon to be over.
