It's that time of year again. When i start weaving words in the ancient art of haiku. Some are better than others.
I love haikus!
a haiku to sum up the process of my sewn leaf project:
needle and thread sew
through the skin of autumn leaves
leaves dry, thread gets loose
a few haikus about general creativity and art:
all i want to do
is create beautiful things
for the world to see
i am creative
this haiku is something new
i created it
my soul expresses
in the art i make today
and tomorrow too
a few haikus about the creative power of thought, which was the fundamental principle in the spiritual class I just completed, so it's been on my mind.
i think what i feel
thoughts and feelings have power
i feel what i think
thoughts are creative
don't be careful with them though
be carefree with joy
my thoughts are happy
each thought creates my whole life
my life is happy
here's a haiku to introduce the next two haikus:
two with the same start
not sure which I like better.
Does it matter? no.
skin prickles sharply
a chill from the cold, or an
unexpected thought
skin prickles sharply
a thought, a touch, or a chill
sensing the moment
And a few more since I'm on a roll:
full of doritos
so cheesy and bright orange
can't stop eating them
i spun a quarter
many many many times
it landed on heads
i wrote a poem
it started out: my kitty
is a white fluff ball
i hiked up the hill
saw roses in the garden
and found a mountain
haiku,
poetry schmoetry
