I've said this before, and I'm sure I'll say it again. Other people's dreams are usually pretty boring to read or hear about.
So let me elaborate on one I had last night.
I'll preface it by saying that before I went to bed, I wrote a list of what I wanted to do today, and the first thing was to go to the local thrift store and see if they had any interesting furniture.
In my dream, I went into a thrift store, and didn't really see anything that I needed. No dresser of the right size, no desk or table, but what I did see were these two great little chairs. They were upholstered in a very distinctive bright blue and black print, and they looked pretty comfy, and not too big.
When I sat down on one to test them out, I realized it was broken as I almost rolled off the side as the broken support gave way. I was peeved that they'd even try to sell it as a set. I looked at the price tag and it was marked down to $150 from $250 and I thought that was crazy overpriced.
Besides that the dream was rather uneventful, and perhaps even unremarkable, but the thing that got me about it this morning was how detailed dreams can be. The store was very well appointed and laid out. There was a lot of stuff, and the chairs I liked were in a clearance section toward the back. There were even other shoppers and sales people. Plus the fact that the chair was broken, and the tag was marked down.
I am amused by the creativity and attention to detail of my subconscious, or whatever it is that comes up with dreams.
