I'm sitting in the Portland airport. My flight is delayed an hour which will give me about 20 minutes to catch my connection. Wish me luck! The gates are pretty close to each other, so there's hope, even though it is at the Houston airport which is huge.
One more reason I love Portland (full list to follow in an upcoming entry): free wireless internet at the airport. They don't charge you like every other airport I've been to does.
My plane just arrived! I am sitting in a lovely area with lots of windows and full view of my gate. Maybe they can get us off the ground a few minutes early. Every moment could help.
I suppose I could sit here and write some reflections about my trip, but I feel like I'm still buzzing a little bit from everything. I'm ready to go home. I love Portland, and I'm sad to go, but it is definitely the end of the "vacation". I accomplished everything I set out to do and everything I could have done given the two weeks I was out here. I got a good sense of the city, and of the job market, met quite a few people and even chose a neighborhood where I'd prefer to live and a couple others I'd be happy with as well.
Now I'm just eager to get home and see my wiener dogs again and decompress a bit. Then I can really survey my options and think about what I want to do.
Time to mosey on over to my gate.
