Greg Collins' guide to destroying Doctor Who monsters
Now, many times in the nu-who era, my father has criticized the methods used to disptach some of the monsters. Here's two of the best he's come up with:
The Scarecrows in Human Nature/Family of Blood: in the show they use bullets... dad says "let's see, scarecrows are made out of straw right? So why aren't they using fire! It has been invented by 1913!"
The Weeping Angels in Blink: Dad: "They're stone when you look at them right?"
Me: "Yeah, and?"
Dad: "Why don't they just use a sledgehammer to smash them then?"
Now, when I was talking to him earlier, he reminded me of the afore-mentioned way of beating weeping angels... I am now no longer scared of them, I laughed while watching Blink.
