I seek the past by hoping it will find me.
The same destiny lies for love, for its lattice
of intertwinings.
I look for emotions invisible trapeze wire
so that I may know the comfort of your
fingers strumming the guitar, again.
I seek animal crackers,
the forgotten, lost, impermeable childhood,
its eyes, curiosity, confusion.
I know absence. At a young, old age
I have learned the walk of apathy
yet its texture skins me.
