Chapter 2 ~ as he stays, I m falling for him~
“Why?” Yuki asked surprised by Ryosuke’s question. “I have nowhere else to go.” Ryosuke muttered. “Okay…How old are you?” Yuki asked still shocked. “About 20 years.” Ryosuke answered careful not to say 120. “You are 20? But people will talk.” Yuki said. “Please, I beg of you.” Ryosuke pleaded. “Okay” Yuki said. Ryosuke felt so happy, he hugged Yuki. “What are you doing???” Yuki said in shock. “Thank you so much.” Ryosuke muttered. “Sure” Yuki replied turning red. Ryosuke suddenly felt like biting her as he held Yuki, so he quickly let go of her, not wanting to harm the kind hearted girl. “Anyways, I need to sleep, seems like I have to go work, even if I don’t have university.” Yuki sighed. “You study in a university?’ Ryosuke asked, as he lay down. “Yeah, I am trying to become a doctor.” Yuki answered as she walked out of the room. “I see” Ryosuke muttered and he closed his eye, soon he was asleep. Yuki looked at him and sighed. “He does look cute.” Yuki told herself and went to the spare room and slept off.
When Ryosuke woke up again, it was afternoon. He walked to the kitchen, when he saw, breakfast out and a letter from Yuki. “Yo! Sleeping beauty, if you wake up by afternoon then heat the food. I might be a bit late. Stay healthy! Yuki.” The letter read. “She is really kind hearted” Ryosuke thought as he saw the food. She had cooked a lot of things. Ryosuke smiled and ate to his heart content. “I feel better” Ryosuke thought as he began to explore Yuki’s house. The rooms were rather clean, and it even seemed to sparkle. One particular room caught her attention. He opened the door, when he saw flowers and pictures on the wall and writings. He switched on the lights. There were pictures of a young girl and her parents. “This is Yuki’s parent’s room?” Ryosuke wondered. “Mama, Papa wherever you are, Yuki misses you!! (Yuki 12).” “Mama, I did it I got into high school without cram school. Papa is proud of Yuki ne?” (Yuki 16). “Believe it or not, I am in med school!!!” (Yuki 18). Ryosuke read all of Yuki’s feeling she wrote on the wall for her parents. He felt even more respect for her. Despite her sadness, she lived with pride. “Can Hikaru be right? I am attracted to her blood because I am falling for?” Ryosuke thought. He suddenly felt a strange feeling, Yuki was in danger.
“I feel relaxed after such a tough job” Yuki muttered, as she walked home with a big smile on her face. “You are really a happy go lucky” Her companion commented. “What make you say that Mika?” Yuki asked. “Always happy about everything.” Mika replied. “Well I cannot help it, I am so tired but when I saw the kid’s face, I feel so happy.” Yuki replied. “How’s university?” Mika asked. “I am doing fine.” Yuki replied. “Okay, I m going, bye” Mika said and she began to walk in a different way. “See ya” Yuki muttered and she walked back. “Where is your work?” A voice asked from behind, freaking Yuki out. “Oh, it’s you” Yuki replied after seeing Ryosuke walking behind her. “You did not answer.” Ryosuke reminded her. “I work in a small day care center during weekends and on the days I do not have university.” Yuki replied with a yawn. “God I am sleepy” Yuki spoke, when she stopped in front of a cemetery. “What are you doing here?” Ryosuke asked. “Visiting my parents” Yuki replied and entered the place. Ryosuke wandered around while Yuki went to the grave, when his eye fell on a small chapel. He went inside, a lit disturbed because the cross did affect him but that would not stop him, he defied all that to show that he was really human.
You are also one of them?” A calm voice asked from behind. Ryosuke turned back and he came face to face with a priest who was smiling. “You know what I am?” Ryosuke asked. “I do, I meet so many of you. Your desire to be humans is so noble” The priest replied with a smile. “I want to be a human again” Ryosuke said. “Do you know that there was one vampire who too was on that quest when he fell in love with a mortal girl? That vampire had to destroy the vampire who changed him and he was weak lacking blood. The girl, who loved him, readily let him drink hers. His bite could not change her into what he was. He gained the required strength he need, and her love for him also increased his power, and he destroyed that vampire and became human again. On becoming human, he married the young girl and they had one child, but those parents died in a car crash leaving behind their child alone in this world.” The priest spoke with a sad face. “Wait, he drank human blood and yet became a human?” Ryosuke asked in shock. “Only, if the victim allows you to, not in fear but in love.” The priest said. “And what happened to the child?” Ryosuke asked. The priests pointed his hand at Yuki who was walking towards the chapel. “That is that child.” The priest replied with a smile. “Don’t tell Yuki what I am” Ryosuke spoke. “I won’t, but you have to tell her someday.” The priest replied as he went to meet Yuki.
“What was priest talking to you about?” Yuki asked Ryosuke. “Why do you want to know?” Ryosuke questioned. “Well he was pointing at me” Yuki said. “Well, I don’t think I should tell you.” Ryosuke said. “Hey, you got to tell me.” Yuki argued back. “No.” Ryosuke said and walked ahead. “Meany!!!” Yuki yelled and continued walking, when she was pulled by something in a dark lane. “Give us your belongings.” The man sneered. “Okay, fine, don’t do anything to me, Yuki replied as she held up her purse. The man took her purse, when he suddenly pushed her against a wall. “Hey, I gave you what you want, let me go” Yuki yelled. “It is rare for a pretty young girl to come down this street. I don’t want to leave this opportunity.” The sneered and he held Yuki face up to his. Yuki shut her eyes in fear when she felt the guy leaving his hold off her. When she opened her eyes, the guy seemed to be beat up and Ryosuke was retrieving her purse from the guy. “How did you get here so fast?” Yuki asked. “I was not that far away that I could not here your scream.” Ryosuke replied. “Thanks” Yuki replied her face was drenched with sweat. Yuki felt so exhausted from the ordeal that she fainted. Ryosuke caught her before she hit the ground. The closer she was with him, the more he was tempted to bite her, but Ryosuke somehow controlled his thirst and took Yuki home. Yuki woke up in her room, she saw Ryosuke was sitting next to her, he seemed to be sleeping. Yuki remembered what had happened and she smiled. “Thanks.” She whispered in his ear. She was about to leave when Ryosuke voice stopped her. “Are you really that thankful?” He asked her. “Yes” Yuki replied, when Ryosuke appeared too close to her and he held her face and kissed her lips. Yuki stared in surprise, but it dawned on her that she loved him, so she closed her eyes and kissed him back. Ryosuke pulled away and hugged her. ‘I am always here for you” Ryosuke replied. Yuki just hugged him back, not knowing what to say.
