Chapter 4: ~secrets of the ancient world~
“You guys know about the ancient world from your parents I guess or you have read about them.” Yabu said. “Of course get to the point.” Ryosuke said irritated. “Do you know about princess Cera?” Takaki conjured. The other shook their head in negative. “She was the reason why most of you still have the magic bloodline. Before all of the people could be killed, she sacrificed herself for the survivors to escape. But if she has re-incarnated, then the possibilities for this girl to die soon is high, especially if our director come to know about her.” Yabu continued. “Wait, what about the school director?” Inoo asked. “He is searching for one of the re-incarnations of the royal members, because sacrificing them would awaken ancient evil powers that had been locked away by them.” Yabu answered. “Our director is working on the evil side?” Yuki asked in horror, hugging Chinen. “Oh yeah, he is evil enough to work for himself.” Hikaru answered. “But if Miki is the re-incarnation, why has she not been showing any powers?” Yuto asked. “Either they are asleep or have been put to sleep.” Inoo answered. “Should we tell her that?” Haruka asked. “It would be better if we kept it between us right now.” Ryosuke answered looking at Miki’s sleeping form. “I agree with Ryosuke. There should always be someone with Miki, in case she begins to show release of powers, you will be covering her.” Inoo spoke. “That’s true, the last we need is that director to guess that she is the girl he is looking for.” Daiki spoke. Miki twitched her eye and got up, she was surprised to find Ryosuke and the others along with Yabu and 4 other boys she did not recognize standing in front of her. “Ah, you woke up.” Miko said pleasantly. “What were you thinking trying to take on the person on your own?” Ryosuke yelled at Miki. “I don’t know I just did not want him to harm the others.” Miki answered pouting. “We should get going” Takaki spoke and the student council members vanished.
“Miki, we should get going or else we will be late for the next class.” Youko spoke. “Hmm, yeah” Miki nodded and the girls left. “Ryosuke” Yuto called him. “What?” Ryosuke answered back. “Why are you keeping Miki’s identity a secret from her?” Yuto asked. “I don’t think she will be able to take the fact positively.” Ryosuke answered back. “What makes you say that?” Chinen asked. “I said I think so, besides, I don’t think she will like the fact that it was because of this that her sister and mother lost their lives. “ Ryosuke answered looking at the door. Miki walked with the other, and the talk soon turned towards the battle. “I wonder who is next.” Miko said with a shudder. “What happens if all of them pass the round?” Youko asked. “I don’t think that’s how it works….” Haruka said. “Well those 5 boys are one team; they have to win two battles out of 3. Then they advance to the next level. I think that’s how it goes,” Yuki answered. “I hope Ryosuke is going to be fine.” Miki thought desperately. “Where are you girls going?” a voice asked them from behind. “Eh?” Miki uttered and looked behind. A really cool looking guy in his mid twenties walked up to them. Miki suddenly blushed; the man was walking towards her. “You girls must be lost.” He spoke as he walked towards Miki. “Um...It is fine, we know our way” Miko spoke coldly. “Now, don’t talk to you director in that tone.” The man spoke with a smile. “Director?” Miki finally spoke. “Yes, my name is Sohma.” The man replied smiling at her. “Miki let’s get going.” Yuki replied pulling her. Miki was shocked by her friend’s reaction but she did not say anything. “Sohma….Why does that name sound familiar.” Miki thought.
“You feel that the director is already making his move and is suspecting Miki to be the re-incarnation?” Yabu asked Takaki. “That’s what Miko told me.” Takaki answered. “This is not good, if he suspects her, he will even harm her to find out if his suspicions are true.” Inoo spoke with a serious face. “I think that sick psychopath is trying to gain more powers. He must be planning to sacrifice her.” Hikaru said popping out of nowhere freaking out Daiki. “Can’t you come in like normal people???” Daiki asked getting irritated. “He is making his move?” A familiar voice spoke. “Ryosuke, how long have you been listening to this conversation?” Hikaru asked. “A few minutes ago, I just came to ask who is next for that battle.” Ryosuke answered calmly. “About that….” Yabu spoke unsure. “It is your turn.” Hikaru spoke. “So he is targeting me?” Ryosuke asked. “I think so” Daiki answered. “This should be fun.” Ryosuke answered with a smile. “Ryosuke, he will try to eliminate you, so there may be a lot of dirty tricks going to be involved.” Inoo warned Ryosuke. “We will keep an eye on that.” Takaki swore. “Thanks” Ryosuke spoke and walked out. “I think he is trying to eliminate him as a sacrifice, after all Ryosuke is a descendent of the royal member.” Yabu spoke. “Not just him, all of those five boys are.” Inoo spoke. “But Ryosuke’s case is different, even though he is not a re-incarnation, his powers are beyond words.” Yabu spoke after an afterthought. “I guess.” Daiki replied. Ryosuke walked towards his room, when he felt someone was following him. “Why don’t you come out and face me?” Ryosuke spoke out. Miki came out, a bit flustered. “How long have you been following me?” Ryosuke asked looking sternly at her. “Ever since you were walking down this hall” Miki answered. She looked at Ryosuke, unsure and hugged him. ‘What’s wrong?” Ryosuke asked. “I heard you are up next. I am scared.” Miki replied; tears began spring in her eyes. “Miki, I promise nothing will happen to me, so don’t worry.” Ryosuke answered, when he saw the tear flowing down Miki’s face. He smiled and wiped her tears and hugged her tight. “I will come back and I will win.” Ryosuke assured her. Miki silently nodded.
“Miki, Ryosuke is going to be fine, so don’t worry.” Ryutaro said trying to reassure a worry stricken Miki. “Miki, he is quite strong compared to us, and we are in the student council.” Daiki said. ‘I don’t know, I feel something bad is going to happen’ Miki sobbed as, she looked at Ryosuke in the arena. “Miki” Miko said and hugged her to calm her down. Ryosuke was remarkable, his every move was perfect, and within seconds his opponent was on his knees. “See Miki, Ryosuke is fine.” Chinen said smiling at her. Ryosuke released a final blow and his opponent lost. Ryosuke walked towards the entrance, when the director suddenly got up from his place. “Ryosuke, your moves were good and you won, but I have a small surprise, this battle does not end here, Chinen Yuri will face his next opponent now.” The director sneered. “I knew this would happen.” Chinen smirked. “Chii-sempai, you are not prepared for it.” Yuki said with concern. “I knew something like this would happen so I am prepared don’t worry.” Chinen reassured Yuki and kissed her cheek. He and Ryosuke shared a Hi-five and He walked in to the arena to face his opponent.
