Chapter 3 ~Open your heart~
“Do you know about the Ryuzaki family?” Johnny-san asked as they sat down.
“Yeah, those murder’ were brutal, I heard his wife was rapped as well….” Yabu replied.
“Ryoko’s their daughter.” Johnny-san replied.
“Ha!!!!”
“Do not be surprised, she witnessed it all, the murder of her father, her mother’s rape and her mother death all in one night and till now she has been in the run.” Johnny-san said.
The boys were shocked. Okay murder is one thing, but watching your own mother’s rape is hell lot of psychological trauma.
“But she said her parents were killed in a accident…..” Hikaru muttered.
“Who will go around saying their parents were murdered in a cruel way??” Yabu smacked Hikaru’s head.
“I…I…I Don’t know why….”
Ryoko’s words now made sense to him. She had only told him that her parents here murdered but the part about her mother made him gasp.
“So you guys have to be careful, they plan on taking Ryoko away, and kill her.” Johnny-san said as he got up.
Ryosuke walked up to where Ryoko lay asleep. She looked so peaceful now, no one would believe what she was going through when her brows suddenly knit together and sweat broke out on her forehead.
“Ryoko?” He called out.
Ryoko started to grasp the bed clothes and she kept muttering something. Ryosuke shook her making her shoot open her eyes.
“Yamada-kun?” She touched his face unsure.
“It is me. Ryoko? Is everything okay?” He asked worried.
“I am scared….So scared.” Ryoko sobbed as she hugged him in relief.
Ryosuke silently stroked her hair. Ryoko cried on, unable to hold her fear and sorrow anymore. Ryosuke could not help but feel protective of her.
Ryoko’s hand sagged a bit as she fell asleep in his grasp. He smiled but he noticed that she would not let go of him.
Johnny-san watched it from the bedroom door. He knew from the way Ryosuke stroked her forehead, he had feelings for the girl.
He smiled.
~Next morning~
Ryoko slowly opened her eyes. She looked at the clock. 4:00 am. She sighed. If she lived any longer with them, she might endanger them.
“John-oji-chan, I am sorry, but I have to do this.” Ryoko muttered and picked up her stuff and jumped off the window.
With that she ran off aimlessly, in hopes of reaching the airport somehow.
Ryosuke opened her door only to find the open window and her empty room.
“Guys!!!!!!!!! Ryoko ran away!”
~In Johnny-san’s room~
“Ryoko did what?” Johnny-san looked shocked and angry.
“She ran away….” Chinen said softly.
“What were you boys thinking?!?? She could be anywhere and those people might have killed her!” He yelled at them.
Ryosuke felt sick with worry. Why and where did she go? What was she thinking? Why he so worried sick about her?
“Anyways, Look for her! And be careful!” Johnny-san said frowning.
~Near a alleyway~
Ryoko silently cried as she walked down the street. She felt hurt over her actions. But she wanted them to be safe. All of them, especially Ryosuke, especially him.
“I am so sorry….I love you so much, but I can’t be there.” She sobbed hugging herself when it began to rain.
Ryoko ran looking for shelter when she saw her nemesis waiting for her.
“Hello Ryoko, time for some fun.” He smirked.
Ryoko whimpered and started to run with the man following her.
~Elsewhere~
Ryosuke looked everywhere he could to find Ryoko.
“Where is she?” He was getting irritated.
He walked through an alley way when someone bumped into him. He looked up and recognized the person.
“Ryoko?”
~At the alleyway~
Ryoko looked behind her. The man seemed to have lost her when she banged into someone.
“Ryoko?”
Ryoko looked and saw Ryosuke looking at her in relief. He pulled her into his arms.
“Where did you run off you idiot? I was so worried about you.” Ryosuke said as he pulled away.
“I did not want you to get involved in this, that why…I…I…” Ryoko whimpered.
“I don’t mind getting involved for you.” Ryosuke said reassuringly.
“Awww….What a sweet scene….”
Ryoko spun around and suddenly held on to Ryosuke. He had found her.
“What do you want? Leave us alone!” Ryosuke said hugging Ryoko who was whimpering.
“Well, Well….we have a boy here.” The man grabbed Ryosuke and punched him hard.
“Ryosuke!! Leave him alone!” Ryoko tried to push the man away but he continued to beat the boy.
Ryoko held the man’s arm to prevent him from punching him. The man smirked and pushed her to a wall.
“I had orders to kill you, but I guess a little fun won’t hurt.” The man smirked as he looked at her from down to top.
“No….Please…No….” Ryoko tried to escape but the man suddenly held on her t-shirt’s hem and smirked.
Ryosuke looked up painfully; he was bleeding from his mouth, forehead and his knees. The man started to kiss the Ryoko’s neck and pulled at her clothes while Ryoko tried to push him away.
“Yamete!!!!” Ryoko cried but the man only smirked continuing his activity.
He ripped off her sleeves. One of her shoulder was exposed to his desires. He continued to assault her when he suddenly felt someone pull him away with such force that he staggered behind.
“Don’t….Don’t you dare….DON’T YOU DARE TOUCH MY GIRL!” Ryosuke yelled as he held a shocked Ryoko tightly in his arms.
“Huh? Look at you boy, you are tired, beaten up. You think you can protect her?” The man smirked and rushed at them.
Ryosuke pulled Ryoko behind him and punched the man so hard, that he practically went flying. He suddenly pulled out a gun and smirked.
“Ryosuke…No….” Ryoko ran in front of him.
“Ha! Trying to protect him? Well, since I have to do away with you.” He held up the gun to shoot.
Ryoko shut her eyes as a shot was heard. But nothing hit her. She opened her eyes to see the man being handcuffed. They were saved.
Ryoko looked up to see Johnny-san look at her and Ryosuke in relief. She looked at Ryosuke who smiled before fainting.
“RYOSUKE!”
~In a hospital room~
“Why did you run away?” Johnny-san finally asked after scolding her.
“I was scared to involve them.” Ryoko replied, as tears streamed down her face.
“Ryoko, they volunteered for it. I told them about you. They were ready to fight for you, especially Ryosuke.” Johnny-san said.
Ryoko sniffed as he looked through the window to the ICU room where Ryosuke lay asleep. He had a broken rib, a broken foot, a slightly broken hand and a few minor injuries.
“Can I see him?” Ryoko asked quietly.
“You can stay with him tonight. Talk with him when he wakes up.” Johnny-san smiled and walked away.
~That night~
Ryoko watched him all night. He had suddenly gathered the strength to save her when she was being raped. She held his hand and cried.
She fell asleep crying. A little before midnight, Ryosuke woke up when he noticed Ryoko asleep holding his hand. He smiled softly and lifted her onto to his hospital bed. He hugged her tight in spite of his broken bones.
“Oh, Ryoko….I love you so much.” He kissed her forehead and slept off hugging her tightly.
~A hour after midnight~
Ryoko woke up as he felt a bit uncomfortable. She opened her eye only to find Ryosuke’s sleeping face in front of her.
“Ryosuke…..” She called out when he opened his eyes.
“Not sleeping?”
“I am sorry…It’s because of me….I…”
“Shhhh…..Forget about it. I am just glad I could save you.” He smiled.
“But why----” Before she could continue, Ryosuke suddenly kissed her.
Ryoko was shocked but she realized, all this while, this was what she wanted. To be loved. She kissed him back as he pulled her closer.
“I love you Ryoko, I love you so much, that I am ready to sacrifice myself.” Ryosuke said as he broke the kiss.
“I…I…Love you too….”
Ryosuke smiled and kissed her again. Their hands (his hand which was not broken….) interlaced, as they kissed more passionately.
