Summary: Yuriko often feels that she is unwanted. She is hated by her stepmother and sister. She does not have many friends. She suffers from anemia. Despite her few friends who feel that she is precious, she is still under torment. When HSJ members Yamada Ryosuke, Yuto Nakajima and Chinen Yuri transfer to her school, a change in her tragic life begins. (ps: her brother’s an HSJ member- Takaki Yuya)
Chapter 2 ~Smiling to fight~
“Yuriko? What….Why….How did this happen?” Takaki hugged the girl.
“I must have been mean to them, that’s why they harmed me!” Yuriko said with a clumsy smile.
“She did this to you, did she not?” Takaki’s eyes suddenly frowned with anger.
“No…No…” Yuriko tried to reply when she stopped suddenly.
Yuriko’s eyes rolled back and she fainted on Takaki’s shoulder.
“The doctor’s here….” Yabu said breaking the silence.
The doctor entered the room and started to tend to Yuriko.
“Takaki, who is this girl?” Inoo asked.
“My sister. She has been living with our step family….I was here most of the time, so I never had much time to spend with her.” Takaki replied.
“Is she bullied a lot by her step mother?” Yabu asked.
“I don’t know. She never tells me anything.” Takaki replied, there was a voice of sorrow.
Ryosuke looked at Yuriko. She held everything within. He went to his room when his phone rang. It was from Mayumi.
“Mayumi-chan?” Ryosuke answered.
“Anou…do you know where Yuriko is? I am a bit worried about her…” Mayumi replied.
“Umm…yeah….She is with us, she is injured….” Ryosuke replied.
“Did someone injure her? If so, did you see who did it?” Mayumi asked.
“I did not see who it was. Don’t worry, Yuriko’s fine.” Ryosuke replied and hung up.
He frowned, something was not right. Mayumi knew that he had seen Yuriko being bullied. So, is it possible that the rumors about Yuriko in school were made by Mayumi?
“Ryosuke what’s wrong?” Takaki asked.
“If I am interested in your sister, will you beat me for that or hate me for it?” Ryosuke asked.
“I would not mind if it is you, but break her heart and I will break you into pieces.” Takaki said.
“I understand! If anyone broke my sister’s heart, I would beat him up too.” Ryosuke smiled nervously.
Takaki grinned and went back to the room Yuriko was in.
Ryosuke grinned when he suddenly stopped. Breaking hearts? Interest? Don’t mind it’s you? Wait…does that mean, he likes Yuriko?
He looked at Yuriko who was sleep. An IV drip up her arm. He felt his heart flutter. He took her hand in his. His heart rate went high.
But, he had just met her, how can he fall for her so quickly?
Yuriko’s eye opened when she noticed Ryosuke next to her, her hand in his. She felt a bit scared and tired to pull it away when Ryosuke fell on her.
Ryosuke pulled a bit behind when he saw himself looking into Yuriko’s eyes. Yuriko herself was looking into his eyes.
They were not noticing how close they were to each other.
~In Yuriko’s house~
“Takaki? What is the meaning of this?” Yuriko’s stepmother looked at Takaki who was there with a lawyer.
“Since I am 20, I want Yuriko’s custody handed to me.” Takaki replied coolly.
“You can’t take her away from me!” The woman sneered.
“Well, I can since I am her brother.” Takaki said firmly and went to Yuriko’s room.
He packed all of her things and smirked at the woman and left.
~Back to Yuriko and Ryosuke~
Yuriko felt her cheeks turn pink, her heart beating fast as Ryosuke drew close to her. But what shocked her was that she wanted him to come closer to her.
Ryosuke slightly tilted his head, he stopped for a few seconds near her lips and then suddenly, he softly pressed his lips against her. Yuriko’s eyes went wide, as he kissed her. Her eyes softened and she closed them.
Ryosuke placed his hands on Yuriko’s shoulder pulling her closer. Yuriko hugged him as she softly returned his kiss.
It was a soft sweet kiss. Just holding on to each other made them feel secure. For once Yuriko felt she was wanted.
Ryosuke quickly pulled back. His cheeks were tainted red. Yuriko too was blushing.
Yuriko raised her hand to her lips. Her first kiss.
“I….I….I…am…I am sorry…Um…Forget it…Ummm..I…No…” Ryosuke stuttered.
“It’s okay….let’s just not talk about it.” Yuriko said shyly.
Somehow hearing that from Yuriko hurt him. He decided to admit it, he liked her.
“How are you feeling?” Ryosuke asked shyly, wringing his hands
“I feel better…..” Yuriko replied.
“Really? That’s awesome!” Ryutaro came in.
He glanced at Ryosuke and grinned wickedly. Ryosuke gulped.
“I need to get home, Ma….My step mother might worry…” Yuriko started to get up when Ryosuke stopped her.
“You are staying with us. Takaki has taken you into his custody. If it’s your things you worry about, Takaki’s bringing it over.” Ryutaro replied.
“Oh…Yeah, Yuto and Chinen fixed this.” Ryosuke pulled out a picture.
Yuriko’s eyes sparkled in happiness. Before her lay a new picture which Mayumi (Yamada and the other’s don’t know Mayumi bullied her.) had destroyed. She hugged the picture and lay to sleep. She drifted to sleep within seconds.
“You kissed her….” Ryutaro grinned evilly.
“How did you see that?!?!?” Ryosuke was blushing
“I saw it. So let’s get this straight. I have started to respect Yuriko as my older sister, so you break her heart, I will beat you up after Takaki beats you up.” Ryutaro grinned.
“I will protect her as much as I can. I think I was already in love with her.” Ryosuke looked serious.
Yuriko smiled in her sleep.
“Ryosuke-kun, Aishiteru….” She muttered in her sleep.
