::waves hi::

Your enthusiasm for seeing the movie at the Omnimax is making me want to see it <<<<<---T H I S---M U C H--->>>>> (even though I've already seen it on a regular screen twice). I called the place and was on hold for 18 minutes waiting for an operator before I gave up. What I'm trying to find out is WHERE in the theatre is the WHEELCHAIR seating? I wish they had a seating chart on the website, but I guess that's too sensible.

We're planning to see tomorrow's show, but I'd like to know in advance what obstacles we'll be facing in logistics.

Thanks (and I hope you do see this message sooner rather than later) and I hope you have a wonderful, stress-free (I know: what's that?) long weekend!

Hey, hon! I got hold of them -- yep, they have seating for up to 8 wheelchairs, upstairs at the top (there's an elevator). I'm pretty sure the experience will be better appreciated from up there, too, than where I was.

YAY! We're planning on going tomorrow, too. Does this mean we might finally get to meet? :)

Uh-oh. Well, that answer gets my Rodney pissed off icon. As I'm already more than half blind, being really far away from the screen would not be a good thing. So I think I'll struggle around with my cane (and my baby bro's strong arm), so that we can sit just about anywhere (let's hope everybody else has decided they want to go away for the weekend so it's not so horribly packed).

What time do you suggest we get there as we haven't bought tickets in advance. Should we??? Oy, the questions just don't stop. Anyway, it's marvellous having you here to ease my anxiety (okay, some of it, lol).

And, yes, wouldn't it be a scream that we get to meet ONLY after you've moved away from TO. Well, stranger things have happened!

Hugsies and thanks for being such a fount of information.

I'm not sure it would seem like all that far from the screen no matter where you sit, really; better not to be too close because the screen really does span far in every direction. In the second row I was turning my head alllll the way from one shoulder to the other in some scenes.

It's worth going early so that you can get an idea of where might be best to sit, and it's probably best to buy tickets in advance just to be on the safe side -- this is the last weekend and it was pretty full last Saturday (it's not a very big theatre). It starts at 7:30 sharp, so I'd recommend getting there between 7 and 7:15, and bring your own bottled drink (the snack bar sucks).

You know, I'm probably as far from you now as when I technically lived in Toronto -- just on the other side! :D *big hugs*
